Great hotel and beautiful surroundings

NirvClub (Copenhagen, Denmark) on Oct 07, 2025

Using DVC Shop Rentals, I booked one night in a Deluxe Studio room for a much lower price than what it would have cost to book a room at the property via Disney directly. It's a beautiful property with great restaurants and bars, in a nice location fairly close to Magic Kingdom. Of course, staying at one of the deluxe Disney properties also includes various benefits, such as access to extended evening hours at the parks. The pools at the property are also very nice - although there's no bar right by the pools, but there is one within a fairly short walk. My room was fairly spacious, and included a kitchenette and a small patio on the ground floors with chairs. There was no separate shower though, only one of those "stand in the tub" kind of showers, which is disappointing for a deluxe resort. There was also a large TV with cable channels, various Disney content, and easy access to streaming services and casting via your own unit. There was also an Alexa-type device in the room. The hotel property itself is lovely - both inside and outside. I liked the rocking chairs in front of the fireplace. The hotel offers a boat service to Magic Kingdom, and a separate boat to the Contemporary Hotel and Fort Wilderness. I would not recommend using the boat to Magic Kingdom unless you have a lot of time on your hands. I spent well over an hour all together on the trip. First waiting a while for the boat to arrive, then waiting for people to get off the boat, and for new passengers to board, which also took a while. Then the boat, for some reason, went to Fort Wilderness to pick up more passengers, even though there was a separate boat also going to Fort Wilderness. Then we finally went to Magic Kingdom. It took way longer than it should have, given how close the hotel is to the park. Aside from the snafu with the boat, I had a great stay!

Good but stinky bathroom

I like this resort. Theming is great. Room was pretty spacious. I don’t like that there is no table. Roaring Forks dinner options were pretty limited. Our bathroom had a terrible smell. I did tell the front desk. It was quiet.

Sure was a great Welcome Home!

yvrgirlToronto (Toronto) on Jul 16, 2025

Our first time staying at Boulder Ridge in a 1 BR villa and it was great. Stayed at copper creek 2BR a few years ago and both are comparable. Both renovated and smartly laid out. Kid was happy in their murphy bed in the living space and we enjoyed our privacy. Bathroom huge with shower and bath options and adjoining doors. The DVC was straight downstairs and quiet and lovely. The main pool is a short walk away with activities and lifeguards. Fun for kids and they have movie nights and nightly s’mores ($ for s’more package but free for marshmallows on a stick) for free. Easy to access the Geyser Point restaurant (we got tAke out) and the refill station there. Easy to go to parks with bus or boat but the magic kingdom boat doesn’t start until half an hour before park open and buses seem to have a later start than we would like as well to MK. Maybe that’s deliberate on disneys part?? We had a fire alarm one night and couldn’t go back to our rooms for a very long time. Karen manager was super great and redirected us to the Territory Lounge (highly recommend) for comp food which was nice. This was a one off so I wouldn’t let that detract you from staying here. We love this complex for the Banff-like feels and easy access to parks. I took a DVC tour or Polynesian villas and those were bright and new. Different feel from the lodge feel here. I like the available shade at wilderness pools. The food is mostly Pacific Northwest type (hot sandwiches, burgers, sausages, salads). Love that you can see the Ogo Pogo light up and the MK fireworks from the waters edge near the Geyser Point nightly. Would stay here again but I like to try new things and we have stayed at wilderness lodge resort multiple times now!

Great stay at Disney without feeling like Disney

PhoenisSunDog (Indian Shores, Florida) on May 03, 2025

Boulder Ridge makes you Feel like you are not even at Disney or even Florida. Feels like the Northwest with all the pine trees. Room was clean and quiet. We had a one bedroom villa that had two separate sinks, a soak tub, shower, and toilet. Staff was friendly and me me at the door for check in. Boats to Magic Kingdom were nice.

Bolderridge review

From the time we checked our bags with Taylor to the time we loaded the Mears car to depart, the hotel staff was friendly, and the hotel was incredible. The cast members really make the stay worthwhile, in my opinion. Unfortunately, I am really bad with names, so I can not name everyone who made my stay extra special.
