We love this place so much and have continued to return every few months! Staff is very friendly and make you feel like family. The rooms have been updated and we were very impressed with our suite. Highly recommend for the whole family or even as a romantic getaway.
Best 1st time to Puerto Vallarta

Plaza Pelicanos Grand Resort I booked our stay here through a military vacation site and read tons of reviews to prepare for my first trip to Puerto Vallarta. I'm so glad I didn't pay too much mind to the negative reviews because my stay was AMAZING!!! Our suite was clean and spacious. We had a huge balcony with ocean views to the right and mountain views to the left. Everyone was very hospitapitable. It's not a large resort but we appreciated the quantness and intimacy of the resort. It had all of the amenities you'd expect: 2 pools, a pool bar, a restaurant with buffet or a la cart dining options and a pool snack bar - we loved the pizza & chicken wings. They offered lounge seating with umbrellas on the beach. We were served drinks, ordered food and shopped from the locals selling items on the beach. We also enjoyed hanging out at the Sky bar lounge where we had delicious margaritas while listening to music and enjoying the beautiful sunset. We opted to do a couples massage in the spa on our last day there and it was a cherry on the top of a sweet and wonderful vacation. Everything more than exceeded our expectations and we look forward to going back.
