We were group of 6 people. Our stay was ok, nothing special to say. Evening entertainment was boring… live band and karaoke most of the night. ( we stayed 8 nights) Nice room ( preffered building) We had an excursion City Tour ( ask for Jose for guide, he was great) and we loved it! It was 7 hours, but it worth it. Restaurants were ok, but the best was Gohan sushi bar ( we had one lunch and three dinners there) Food was delicious! Ask for special surprise sushi plate from chef , it was amazing every time! The worst experience I had in Capers ( Italian restaurant). My beef fillet was undercooked and they just microwave it! Yes, microwave it)) I know… unbelievable)
Perfect Trip

We stayed at SVB for our third time. This trip was eight nights and it was everything we'd hoped for and expected. The property is becoming a little dated, however, the staff remains incredible. It's still one of our favorite resorts in Puerto Vallarta. We started in a Preferred Club Junior Suite and ended up upgrading to a Master Suite after the first time. The Master Suite was perfect for what we needed. Alejandra in housekeeping was always kind and patient when we popped into the room when she was in there. The room was really well kept. The food across the property ranged from mediocre to excellent. Breakfast at the Market Cafe was consistent and great. Andres, Benito, and Humberto made sure we had everything we needed. Lunch options were less appealing. Lunch at Oceana and the pool grill weren't as good as food on the rest of the property. We miss the ability to have lunch at Market Cafe. The best lunch was the pastor taco stand that opened by the pool at noon each day. Dinner was a different story altogether. Each of our dinners were excellent. We ate at Capers, Bordeaux, Oceana, the hibachi table at Himitsu, and Chef's Table. Francisco, Fernando, and Eloy at the Capers wine room were attentive, welcoming, and provided excellent service. The served a beautiful six course meal with precision. Manuel at Bordeaux was also outstanding. Jose and Angel at the Preferred Club bar made fantastic drinks for us. We recommend the Chef's Table dinner to anyone that can make it happen. Sigi was an excellent sommelier with wine pairings for each of the eight courses. Abel was an excellent sherpa as he led us through the course also. Executive Chef Miguel prepared an amazing culinary journey we won't soon forget. Each of them were extremely kind. Finally, Jose Becerra was our Preferred Club butler. This was our third trip to SVB and this one was far and away the best. We attribute this directly to Jose. He was always checking in with us at the right times and anticipating needs. Jose would message us each morning to see if he could be a part of planning our day. His responses were quick and decisive. He helped us with reservations, getting us the tables we wanted, and many other things. Jose was extremely detailed and never let anything slip between the cracks. Being paired with Jose felt like a cheat code for the entire trip. We are so grateful for his hospitality and warmth. We wouldn't hesitate to come back for several reasons, however, Jose would be at the top of the list.
