Seattle

Great staff at hotel. Very friendly and helpful. Service has gone down so much everywhere that I was pleasantly surprised by how genuine and nice all the staff was. I will definitely stay there again.

Stay Somewhere Else

Joseph S (Portland, Oregon) on Apr 01, 2024

This was our 3rd hotel during our spring break and the worst one. I will say: the room was nice and decent. We stayed on the 42nd floor. The fitness center is nice. Elevators can be a pain when going down as it stops at almost every floor until the 27th floor, so better to be on the higher floor. The issues arose when dealing with staff. We were given different information depending on who we talked to. Apparently our stay got a $15 credit to the market per NIGHT. So, if you don't use it that NIGHT, you lose it. Huh? Like I said, this was our 3rd hotel this trip and the only one with such a lame policy. We checked in at 11:30pm, so we lost it the first night but we didn't even know about it when we checked in as we were told it was $50 credit per night. We were not given all the information or even the correct information- the front desk the next afternoon explained that we should have been given a piece of paper explaining the policies. Another issue is parking - the lot says it was FULL. It's $38/night for hotel guests. Be prepared to hunt for a parking spot in the middle of the night with minimal / no help from staff - super fun. BUT the next day we were able to find a spot in the lot (despite the "FULL" sign) but you have to have your key card activated for parking, so you don't get charged the public rate (even though it says for hotel only). My advice is park across the street at 8th Olive for $30/night and they have room and are nicer, heck just stay there and avoid the Hyatt Regency as you have many other options in Seattle. Lastly, there is NO ONE to help with bags, which is odd for a hotel of this size and supposed class. Seattle has options - stay somewhere else.
