Guests will still have access to the East section of the pool as well as the Relax pool, East pool and the Children’s pool during this time.
The Pool bar will remain open offering services all around the main pool area.
All efforts will be made to minimize impact to guests during this time.

We have had a very nice stay at this resort. Everyone is very friendly and helpful that work here. The only thing I would change would be the cool weather. The resort is kept up very well, it's very clean and the staff is also very helpful. The food at the buffet has been very, very good. Always lots to eat. The à la carts have been very good as well. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. I have been sleeping very well here.
Family holiday, it's a tired hotel but vibrant beach

We enjoyed our stay, 5 Adults and 2 toddlers, we booked a "family room" which is 2 standard rooms with an adjoining door. The hotel for Cuban standards is nice, it could use a paint job and a refresh, but on a whole it is clean, tidy, we never saw critters or concerns. The wifi was impressive, at some point each day I would get kicked off, but that was solved 10 seconds later by re-signing in. The wifi was strong, you could facetime, airdrop, email, surf the web etc. We never encountered any power outages, so I assume their generators are well equipped. Our rooms were a good size, closet had lots of hangers, the bathroom is stocked with 1 small circular bar of soap, and there is some lotion and moisturizer in tubes attached to the wall - but i would recommend bringing your own. Water pressure was nil, but getting hot water was no problem so showers just take longer but dont worry about running out of water. The sink and tub do not have plugs Food: The buffet food was fine, nothing exciting, but there is a Pasta station, Flatbread station and a Chicken/Pork/Beef/Fish grill at the buffet for your mains, and then top off with all of the sides. The Snack Bar offers pork burgers, hot dogs, and occasionally french fries (when they have them), and its hours are really unpredictable. Bring your own mayo, ketchup, salt/pep, seasoning salt or anything else that you would appreciate from home, as the food is blan. A few things that missed the mark for us: The in room mini fridge had no beverages, just one 1L bottle of water and it was not replenished even on days we had left it empty. It was replaced 4 out of our 7 days. We would go to the lobby and refill it. Our room shower towels were not changed, we did leave a note on day 5 requesting fresh towels and it was only then we got new ones. They don't provide a hand towel or any face cloths so bring your own. You get 1 pool towel for your entire stay. I wish you were able to swap out daily or every few days, they get quite sweaty and gross. Some days for the new arrivals they didn't even have pool towels and told them to come back in a few hours after laundry and hopefully they would have more then. Elevators all over are broken so you will need to rely on the stairs. For a 7 day stay you only get 2 reservations at the restaurants and otherwise have to eat at thee buffet. The in room safe existed, but it was not attached to the wall, so someone could theoretically just grab the entire safe and walk out with it. Pools/Beach: There are plenty of pool chairs and beach chairs, and staff will bring you an umbrella at the pool if requested. Each chair is with a tiki umbrella at the beach. Out of the 7 pools its listed to have, only 2 had water in them for our stay in January- thats the main pool at the bar, and the exclusive pool on the adults only Relax side. So no kid pool or smaller pool, the hot tub was empty, they were just empty concrete holes. The toilet paper in the pool washroom would usually run out by mid day, and were quite dirty by mid day - some extra servicing would go a long way there. The beach is stunning, clean, free of seaweed and has a nice gentle entry. The ocean was definitely warmer than the pool. The catamaran guys will take you our to a snorkel area and feed the fish so you are guaranteed to be swarmed by the fish in teh water, pretty incredible. They charged us $100USD for 5 adults + 2 toddlers, it was the best experience and about an hour long, just the perfect amount of time I felt. Do plan to go down to the beach and take photos during golden hour- we did that 5-6pm and the lighting and everything was perfect. Entertainment: there was daily entertainment for all at the main pool from 3-5pm, and the evening shows in the theater were great. Each night the lobby also has a singer for entertainment. They are not short on entertainment. One night there was an airbrush tattoo artist doing tats for $3 which was fun to get. Kids Club: was non existent? Staff daily would come and get my attention wanting my 3 & 4 year olds to do their activity- which actually was them taking staged photos of my kids to show their "boss". After 2 days of that my kids said they didn't want to go with them anymore and I don't blame them, this Kids club is nothing compared to whats offered in Mexico Iberostar's. One day it was colouring at a table in the shade for about 20 mins, the next was a "farming lesson" that was 10 mins where the staff picked a bean stock and opened it to show the kids. From afar, ie in photos this resort looks 5 star, but once you see the condition of the pool chairs, room linens, walls, door scuffs, lack of elevators & service you begin to see why people give it more of a 3 star. A few little tips I would have appreciated knowing before going: The water tastes chlorine'ey (bring water drops/flavour packets) Bring snacks to have in between buffet times (chips, peanut butter, crackers, protein bars, etc.) Download a translator app: I speak no Spanish and staff's english was minimal Bring your own small towels for use in room
