Be careful with your personal stuff you leave in your room

My husband and another couple spent two nights and three days. The rooms were good but we only got two towels, we asked not to have our rooms cleaned and we had a sign by the door not to bother coming into the room. We went to the beach when we came back our bathroom was cleaned and so was our suitcase. My husband brand new (in the box) cologne was gone and the gift I had brought for the other couple’s anniversary. We didn’t find out until we were leaving. Unfortunately the day we left the hotel was extremely busy with about 800 kids for a church conference which by the way were very noisy very early that morning, we didn’t have time to complain we just wanted to get away from there. On our second day we were eating lunch near the beer refrigerator and an employee Victor Santiago Salinas opened up a beer bottle and the cap fell on the floor, he looked at it and saw us looking at him and started to walk away I immediately got up because another employee proceeded to come pick it up her name Diana Lino. As I picked it up I said very loudly that education begins at home and Victor Santiago Salinas looked at me and laughed at my face and walked away. I have to say thank goodness for Miss Diana Lino and all (day and night) the employees at the bar who went out of their way for the guests. My friend left her earrings on the counter and when she came back from the beach they were gone. If you go there do not leave any valuables in your suitcase (or laying around) because the cleaning people do not respect your property nor privacy.
It’s just OVERPRICED for what you get

Let’s start with it is a pretty place, but This place is overpriced. there is only one bar with very limited drink options, no tequila drinks at all, if you wanted something outside the all inclusive option it was ridiculous expensive. Felt bad for the only one good bartender they had because there was no place to leave tips, had to do it on the side but it didn’t encourage others to tip. The snack bar was just BAD, was always the same, sad grill cheese sandwich, fries, French toast and fruits! And I was there for 4 days!!! Breakfast, Lunch dinner were actually good, a small selection but good, the fruit bar was sad, been that I have been to Honduras quiet a bit you can find great fruit and cheap and they did not translate on the fruit selection, was not sweat, didn’t tasted fresh and it was usually hard. The rooms were just fine, but the mattresses were HARD, neck hurting the next day kinda hard!!!! It rained for 2 days and there was NOTHING to do in the resort, one pool table, one volley ball court in the beach and 2 pools with the smaller pool been filthy on the side of the bar. I knew we had booked a “cheaper” resort so my expectations were low, but this place was just boring, dated but the main facilities were taken care of. snacks and drinks were just sad. Front desk people were nice and helpful but everyone else, except for the 1 bartender and the fun and entertainment crew. Staff was just rude, didn’t acknowledge people, didn’t care to see if see if there were needs from the guest, if you asked for something it was as if they got annoyed.
