Elegant hotel with a beautiful location
Evelyn_OConnell (British Columbia, Canada) on Jun 14, 2025
This is an elegant hotel with a beautiful and convenient location on the harbour. The lobby and the rooms provide excellent views of the harbour. I particularly enjoyed the hotel's garden and the fact that the hotel entrance connects to the harbour walk. We stayed in the older wing and, overall, our room was pleasant. The beds were small (European doubles), but extremely comfortable. There were a couple of minor issues with cleanliness (the sheets on one of the beds had not been changed, the toilet was a little dirty). However, housekeeping did an excellent job of correcting these issues and I would stay here again. ***For those with sensitivities to smells and cleaners, they use a fairly strong cleaner on the windows. Once we had opened the window to the balcony and aired the room for half an hour, it cleared up.
Pleasant Short Stay at Inn at Laurel Point
GarethD71 (Mold, United Kingdom) on Jun 07, 2025
We stayed 2 nights after Vancouver before hiring a car and driving across the island. Hotel is well located with lovely views across the bay. We only used the restaurant for breakfast which was very nice with good choice and service, and the small cafe is handy if you just want a coffee or want to do your own thing. Our room had a lovely view of Victoria Harbour, but the “verandah” was too small to put a chair on. This did not affect us, but you would expect some sort of space, although I think we were in the older part of the hotel. Locationwise, it was a short walk into the main part of Victoria, and in the other direction it was a short walk to Fisherman’s Wharf, which I would highly recommend, and was a very pleasant surprise with the variety of eating places there , especially in the evening. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Victoria, with friendly hotel staff and good location, close to Victoria and choice of restaurants etc.
