Moderate, But Charming

chatto (Michigan) on Dec 14, 2025

While this is a Disney moderate resort, I would suggest that the rooms are really value-level; what sets the resort apart is its ambiance, external charm, and small size relative to other Disney moderate resorts. Additionally, the parking is convenient, so if you bring a car, you won't have long to walk to get to your room. The walls are actually better at insulating noise than they were at Pop Century, if that comparison helps. Although my room had been recently remodeled, the air conditioner was noisy, the ceiling fan made concerning noises that led me to curtail using it, and the bathroom finishes were just okay. Don't get me started on Disney's refusal to have mini-fridges in their rooms -- it's just such an inconvenience, especially if, like me, you have dietary issues. Along those lines, the featured foods are understandably focused on the Louisiana cuisines, so there really aren't many options for eaters who cannot tolerate spice.

Our favorite resort

I can't say enough good things about this resort. From the moment you check in to the resort cast members go out of their way to make you feel special and at home. No matter which building you are in, it's a short walk to the bus stops or the food court. The pool is so nice, so many chairs and tables. Plenty of shade if you want. Everything is so clean and the newly renovated rooms are gorgeous. The buses to the park are frequent and hardly ever a wait. The boat to Disney springs is one of the best perks. It's a beautiful boat ride. Highly recommend this resort
