Amazing Antigua Vacation #2

This was our second trip this year to Antigua. We tried the west side of the island this time. We will only book adult only, all inclusive so this hotel seemed perfect. The hotel is intimate with cottages instead of connected rooms. It is incredible clean and well maintained. I can’t say enough about the staff! They are friendly and accommodating and deserve all the kudos! Saskia and Jerome at Rafters were the most amazing and friendly people ever. I can’t say enough. Derrick (D-Rock) at the bar was also amazing. The food was the best I’ve had, and every presentation was perfect. There was nothing that I wouldn’t eat again. We booked a premium private dinner on the terrace. This by far was the best food I’ve ever eaten thanks to Chef Jerome. It was worth every penny and I highly recommend. Our room was the base garden view room without the plunge pool. We didn’t really care about having the pool; however, I would be willing to try it on my next trip. There was a hammock and two comfy chairs on the porch. We were warned about mosquitos, but we never saw one. Both of us got bit once by something, but they were little black bugs that didn’t look like mosquitoes. We aren’t “touristy” people so we stayed on the resort the whole time relaxing. We met a taxi driver during our first stay, and we had her pick us up and take us back to the airport. If you want an incredible person and amazing driver, call her! Our stay at Cocobay was absolutely amazing. The views were unreal, the staff was incredibly kind and attentive, and the food was top-notch. Even though there’s only one restaurant—which is rare for an all-inclusive—it was more than worth it. Every meal was high quality and delicious. Truly a perfect stay.”
