Check in was know problem. My room had a moldy musty smell. Found hair everywhere on bedding and towels. Room wasn’t clean properly, bathroom was dirty. Found a cable hanging from the bathroom mirror had no switch for lighting a little sketchy. Also in the bathroom there was a cut out of the ceiling that wasn’t sealed back. Kitchen sink was rusted. Rooms need some up dating and much more care when cleaning. Some of the staff were pleasant and others were rude and unprofessional. I made a request at breakfast at the restaurant. I over heard the waitress talking and making fun of me for my order. I went to the bar for happy hour. I wasn’t greeted by the bartender or waitress. I was totally ignored and wasn’t waited on. There weren’t any other quest at the bar but my quest and myself. I left spent my money elsewhere. I found the staff only catered to certain ethnicities. I left an item in the room after I checkout. I contacted the hotel they stated the item wasn’t in the room. I informed them exactly where I left the item and it should be there. Which they never contacted me back after that. It was obvious Housekeeping stole it. Great location but wouldn’t stay there again. Worst experience ever.

Really enjoyed staying here.. location was spot on and was very clean and tidy. Loved the lounge area was somewhere to go when it was too hot outside

Want to say a big thank you to Dedreia, Troy, Kim Charles, Shonta and Ingrid for looking after us and making us feel welcome. The hotel was fabulous and a two min walk to the beach was perfect. The heat was a bit much for us but we had a fabulous time exploring the island. We recommend staying here and will return again one day ?? fond memories

This hotel really stands out. Its in a great location for local restaurants with many within walking distance. The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful and could not do enough for you. The breakfast is decent - not a really big choice but certainly enough and good quality. The breakfast staff were also very efficient and kept the breakfast selection available and were quick to each table.

We used The Rockley for our first week in Barbados. We wanted a good hotel as a base as we explored the island by car. The hotel is clean with well equipped rooms with fridge, cooker, microwave etc. The rooms were large and comfy with a nice lounge area and balcony. The feel is of a boutique hotel and the colourings and decor fit really well. The staff were brilliant and helpful. Breakfast was fairly standard buffet items with subtle changes each day to the ingredients, keeping it interesting, and you could sit outside in the bar area, which was pleasant. The hotel is well located with numerous good quality restaurants within easy walking distance (Tapas / Champers). This makes a great place as a base to explore Barbados. The beach opposite is good, and the hotel has cards that can be used to get sun loungers and parasol for free. The bar prices were reasonable, and with one of the happy hours 7-8pm ideal place to grab a drink prior to going out to dinner. All in all, a great place to stay, with great staff and in a good location. Now on to their sister hotel (Sea Breeze) for a week of all inclusive doing nothing!
