Best staff ever - amazing hotel

I don’t know if it’s the Bajan culture or management insist on a strong welcoming manner- either way- all staff were just delightful. From the groundsmen, cleaners, bar staff, waiting on staff to the gorgeous boys at the beach doing paddle boarding and putting out umbrellas. However, special thank yous to the people who went out of their way to be so, so nice: Keshawna, Kay and the gorgeous cleaner who always has a flower in her hair - so sorry forgotten her name. New Year’s Eve was just fabulous and will take some beating better than the Hilton where they were allegedly charging guests to watch fireworks. Sugar Bay pulled out all the stops- gorgeous food, drumming band and girl band and fireworks on the beach. What was lovely was watching all the staff enjoying their work , stopping for a dance or photo-clearly management are happy with their staff and encourage such enthusiasm. Also and we also enjoyed and fabulous day at the races with another excellent staff member ‘Akeil’ but not sure on his name. Great Beach Bar with amazing cocktails on offer and a ‘ Bob Marley’ my new favourite drink. All the very best for

Lovely Hotel We travelled as a family of 4 with 9yr old twins. We loved it from the moment we arrived, lovely setting, drinks on arrival and very friendly reception staff. We had booked an ocean view family suite, which was great! Big bedroom with king size bed and in the living area we had one single and a sofa bed, TV in each room, good size shower room and wash room. Even with the sofa bed out and a single bed in the living area we still had plenty of room. Tea/coffee making facilities and a small fridge also. Room was very nicely decorated and a lovely view over the ocean. Table and chairs on balcony. If there’s one downside to our room it was directly over the bar/entertainment. Wasn’t too much of a problem as we stayed out reasonably late and the entertainment finished at a reasonable time. If staying with younger kids and wanting an early night I’d request a room as far from here possible. Though if the kids are good sleepers you can sit on the balcony with a drink and watch the entertainment! NYE was perfect, the staff worked tirelessly, great food and drinks, great entertainment and fireworks to finish it off. Everybody had a great time, and felt like you were celebrating with friends. The food options are great and all excellent quality. Breakfast, lunch and dinner in the buffet restaurant was perfect, lots of options and cooked perfectly! Lunch at Colin’s was also good, kids loved the hot bogs and burgers, we loved the fish! We had one meal at the Asian which was nice, and one at sizzle, I didn’t enjoy my steak, and sent it back, though still got charged for it as the chef said it was fine. I couldn’t be bothered to argue and presumed it may be the way they cook it there. The rest of the meals were good though and the family enjoyed it, the setting was good and nice to get away from the buffet for a change. Drinks sitewide were good, lots of choice and good drinks for the kids too. Swim up bar was a nice touch. Beach was perfect! Lots of space and beds, admittedly I am an early riser so always got my favourite spot, though you didn’t need to, the water sports lads are great, always happy to help, bring you umbrellas and assist with anything. The kids loved the free water sports, paddle boarding, kayaking, bodyboarding and snorkeling as and when they pleased. Seawater and beach very clean and safe, the rings in sea were a bit grubby at the start but got cleaned and the kids spent hours jumping off them! The pool was decent, nicer loungers, we noticed lots of reviews saying not enough beds which concerned us, but no need. Of course if you want the best spot you have to get in there early, but we always did the beach in the morning and pool in the afternoon, we always got beds when we wanted some. Box with toys and inflatables to use for free too. There is a small pool next to Colin’s bar, not much good for lounging around but ideal for the kids to play in whilst waiting for food and drinks at Colin’s or just a quick dip whilst at the beach. We didn’t get out much in the venting but can easily walk to other bars and restaurants. Half hr from the airport. We did Cool runnings lunch cruise which was excellent and will do again. Snorkeling, good lunch, drinks and generally had a good time, Small shop on site which had all the essentials. We had a fantastic holiday and are already looking to book for Xmas 2026.
