10/10 Hotel

This was the best stay I have ever had in Hawaii!! The hotel has a beautiful, modern aesthetic. Staff is 10/10. Food was 10/10. I will 100% be returning to this hotel. Everything was of close proximity. The hotel itself is incredibly clean, and the adults only aspect allows for great sleep without being disturbed by noises from neighbors!
Awesome - even though we stayed across the street!!!!

Went across the state to the hotel on June 26th to attend the happy hour at the Romer House Backyard and then supper at 855 Izakaya. Jenna S at the Backyard, pool bar was awesome and happy recent birthday to her. Thank you. We then went downstairs to the 855 restaurant and had a great meal consisting of their Oko Oko (okonomiyaki), miso butterfish, grilled eggplant, and shrimp tempura. Yum!!! Had to have leftovers boxed for us. China, our server, was awesome. Had a break in our schedule and were delighted to go back tonight (July 1st), ordering the grilled eggplant, Oko oko, Mahi katsu, chicken tempura, and a bottle of sauvignon blanc. Taryn H worked all of the tables and was great. Even the door personnel were awesome! Will definitely plan to stay at the adult-only, quirky, lei-themed hotel on every return trip to Hawaii. A must visit place.

What a cute boutique hotel! A few short blocks from the beach, close to restaurants and the International Marketplace shopping complex. Decor is mid century modern chic, very clean rooms. Can’t believe how this old hotel was transformed to a fresh welcoming space.
Great stay and unbeatable location!

My wife and I had a wonderful one-night staycation here to celebrate her birthday. We got grandparents to watch the kids so we could enjoy this adults-only property. The first thing I want to say is that you cannot beat the location of this property , especially at this price. It is essentially directly across from International Marketplace and with other amazing eateries and shops and bars just a skip away. We started our one-night stay at the hotel’s new bar, The Lei Stand. They have craft drinks and a modern Tiki Bar vibe. You can also purchase real, fresh, legitimate lei’s there. I live in Hawaii and can vouch for the authenticity of the lei being sold there. After trying most of the cocktails on the menu, my wife and I walked just one block to one of the most popular bars with live music, Secret Spot. We decided to call it a night after a fun time dancing, and made the long 3 minute walk back to the hotel. The bed was outstanding and was out light a light. The next morning I awoke early to enjoy a quiet Waikiki beach sunrise. This is the best time to enjoy Waikiki beach as it is essentially empty compared what it normally is. The best part is the short walk from the hotel- a quick cut through the first floor of International Marketplace and cross of one more street puts you at one of the most famous beaches in the world. It’s about a 7 min walk from the hotel to the beach if you don’t stop to shop. While I went to enjoy sunrise and a swim, my wife elected to sleep in and did so easily with the blackout curtains in the hotel room. We found the bed and sheets and pillows to be very comfy and clean. The whole room was - no issues with cleanliness at all. The balcony of the room was also huge - that was pretty cool. It’s not the best views of Waikiki but a nice place to relax. After my wife woke up we enjoyed a simple breakfast downstairs at “855-Aloha”. She got the loco moco and I got the Romer House Breakfast Sandwich. Initially I was disappointed with the size of the loco moco, but I’ll tell you what, that was possibly the best tasting loco moco I have ever had. The ginger in the dish was , wow! Super pleased with that. I need to come back here to eat dinner!! All-in-all, I would definitely recommend staying at Romer House. Seriously, it delivers on all the essentials you need a hotel to be in Waikiki, and its location is unbelievably convenient.
Not what it appears to be

Outrageous resorts fees for absolutely nothing !Pool is an oversized skany hottub beach /pool towels are not provided no ice machines on any beach candy that is complimentary is at the other end of the beach you must provided a credit card I wouldn't want to swim with me credit card House keeping is few and far between and rude! Beds are great shower is the weirdest set up and short and awkward water goes everywhere No microwave no coffee maker No mirror no clock and the rooms are 15 ×15 feet So small no guest laundry No no sundries the balcony is bigger than the room there's nothing to sit on but the bed 100 % Will never stay with them again It's also very unsecured and dark hallways I wish our review could be better But in end we were there for the gorgeous water and the experience
