We chose the Sahara because it was close to the hotel where our friends were staying. It is located at the far north of the strip, but is located at a monorail stop so it is east to get to other doors on the Strip. The price was lower than most Strip hotels so we did not expect the quality of other hotels where we stayed. The check-in was quick and the r were woman (Marianna?) who helped us was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Our room had some wear. A broken lamp shade, a peeling lampshade, a lamp with a short, and broken shades on the peekaboo shower showed the room had seen some rough times. Despite the broken items, the room was acceptability clean. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were a bit weary. The staff was fantastic from the front desk, to security, to the casino. When the dog in the room next door woke is up with its barking and howling, we called the front desk and they sent security up to end the barking. The barking started about ten minutes later and we decided to head out to the strip. On our way out we let the front desk know. The woman we spoke to was apologetic and said security would again go to the room. We did not hear the dog for the remainder of our trip. I only wish the Sahara would take some responsibility for the disturbance since they allowed the dog to begin with. We did not frequent any of the restaurants, but wish we had as they looked tempting and we heard good reviews. We went to the Tangier, one of the two bars. It was quiet and the drinks, though well overpriced, were well mixed. The furniture was well warm and the chair in which I sat had a deep worn divot in its arm. Overall, the Sahara was not as bad as our worst stay on the Strip, but we’ve had better and even much better stays though the costs were higher. It was okay as pros were about equal with cons. We might return, but will likely stay somewhere else on our next trip.

6 nights stay at the Sahara, absolutely fantastic hotel, great location for the strip and downtown. Public areas always clean, casino area was great, friendly and helpful staff. The hotel has direct access to the monorail which takes you to areas on the strip. Our room was spacious, lots of storage for clothes, big tv with cables channels. We opted for the Marra Style King with Mountain View. Highly recommend staying at this hotel
