They suck and don’t care

kenny b on Sep 26, 2023

Staff. Doesn’t care or is willing to assist. Literally no hot water for tea.in restaurant. They made me go to att I la to help my wife out. Room service. Non existent. Had to call for towels everyday. Spoke with management 3 times. I was there for a week. No resolution. Told me. They can’t control. The restaurant or the pool people or the valet. Or even housekeeping. Useless. They are. States. The resort fee is for free parking and Wi-Fi. But. You can. Come in off the street. Get free parking. And use their pools for free. But on sundays they charge for the pools. So. Save you cash and aggravation. Don’t come here at all. Also. 1 poker table. And the machines do pay out at all.

Good value, but room for improvement

Robert_P_Richardson (Princeton, New Jersey) on Sep 25, 2023

First, the positives: We stayed in the Alexandria Tower and the room was quiet. Also, there was never a wait for the elevators. The staff was friendly and helpful. The air conditioning was excellent. (That’s a pet peeve of mine.) Self-parking was great. It was free and easy, and there were always spaces available. It’s certainly not as luxurious as some of the other hotels (e.g. the Wynn), but we paid around $1200 for a five-night stay that would have cost closer to $5000 at the Wynn, so the value was good. The negatives: We booked an iconic king and actually got upgraded to a suite, We liked the upgrade, but we weren’t thrilled with the bed. It was comfortable enough, but it was not a king size bed. A king size bed is 76 inches wide – go ahead and Google it, I’ll wait. Yes, everyone agrees that it’s 76 inches wide, but this hotel and some others I have stayed at recently have decided that they can re-define that term and give people a bed that is 10 inches narrower. The bed is still slightly wider than a standard queen size bed, which is 60 inches wide. This new bed size that apparently only hotels use is sometimes referred to as a “premium queen.” But it’s not a king size bed, which is extremely frustrating because I called ahead to absolutely confirm that we had a true king size bed. Our suite was large, but the extra space wasn’t used for anything. There was a couch and a slightly recessed corner, but it wasn’t really much of a seating area and you couldn’t watch TV from there. There was also no dresser/armoire, and no closet. In the entrance to the bathroom, there was a rod upon which you could hang some clothes and two drawers, both of which were half-filled with items like the safe. That’s it – nowhere else to put your clothes, even though the room was pretty big. We wound up putting most of our clothes out on the couch. There were also some smaller deficiencies: the curtain didn’t close all the way, leaving a 2-foot gap. The base of the telephone worked, but the receiver was dead. One side of the bed had a nightstand where you could plug things in to both an electrical outlet and USB port. The other side didn’t have that stand and only had one electrical outlet within 15 feet. They had a standard flatscreen TV, but it was tilted downward at a 25 degree angle, which was weird. The room was clean, and the hotel was clean as well, but they cut some corners. Anyway, we had a positive experience, and would consider staying there again, and as long as we get a good deal.
