I travel to Disneyland 2-3 times a year and have almost always stayed at this hotel, I even have a trip booked right now in April with this hotel and was telling another family I’m going with to stay here too. But after my last stay this last week I will be cancelling my April stay and telling all my friends and family to avoid. In the past stays I was able to order breakfast to our room while we got ready but this time I called down over ten times with not answer, finally called the front and and asked why I was getting no response, the person at the front very firmly said we don’t deliver before noon, I asked where is that stated because I always have in the past, in which we replied sternly that it was on the food pamphlet. No apology or explanation. That alone would have made me change our stay if I had known because my kids like to sit and eat before we go to the parks and I like to get ready while they do that. Otherwise I have to hurry and get ready while they complain that they are hungry and then I have to go downstairs not ready, order it and then sit and wait and where art kids during that? Also down there waiting? I don’t understand why they wouldn’t offer service during a time 90% of families would be needing it. Then when I took my kids to use the pool, all of us in our swimsuits, the person there asked me why I didn’t have bands, I asked since when? They said oh you have to go to the front desk to ask… why was I never told this? Now I have to take my kids and I in swim suits to the first floor to get wrist bands and then I was told that every day I would have to bring the same used wrist bands back down to the front to trade for new ones?? It made no sense.. so after I ripped off the bands and saved them, I took crinkle used bands down to the front desk the next day for the exact same color bands?? Nothing different about them… what are you trying to accomplish with this? That needs to be rethought out because it only made our pool days more annoying. Then on our way back to the pool I stopped and asked the girls working at the restaurant if they took phone call orders for lunch when we were done with the pool, they said yes of course, so after the pool, we are all trying to get out of our wet clothes and kids are starving, I try to call down to order lunch… again no answer.. my entire 4 day stay and not once did some one answer the restaurant phone for orders. That’s a missed opportunity for you because I will just uber it to my room if it’s this difficult to get food. So I walk back down stairs again to ask the same girls why I can’t get an answer and her response was oh I’m sorry I think our phone volume was turned down…. So you turn down the volume of the phone for days and never wonder why you aren’t getting orders? Seems to me to be something done on purpose to avoid phone orders. Don’t advertise delivery to your room if you don’t actually want to offer it! Then on top of all of this, when I checked in the front asked me if I wanted daily room service since they usually only do every two days.. I said yes daily… so next day comes around, it’s 3 maybe and we are back from Disneyland and getting ready to head back out for night time and our room isn’t done, so I call down and ask and he says yes sorry we will send them right up, well that was a mistake because the girls who came up to clean our room passed us in the hall as we were leaving and gave nothing but glares to me and my mom and children, obviously unhappy they had to clean our room before they left. It wasn’t my problem they were never told, again if you ask people at check in for things then maybe you should actually follow thru? So our room is clean when we get back… next morning I get awakened to bangs on our door, 830am I would say, loud continuous bangs to where I checked thru my peep hole before opening, I open it and it’s the same girl I saw in the hall the night before, she never smiled, never said good morning, just straight to “did you want your room serviced?” In which I reply yes.. like I told the front I want it daily but not right now, we will be leaving in an hour so after that would be great, she says we’ll be back and walks off… I have never been treated so rude by cleaning staff in my life, I have stayed at many hotels and could not believe the attitude this girl was giving us. So we go to Disneyland and come back at 3pm… room not cleaned.. 5 mins into getting our swim suits on I get another knock on my door, I open it and it’s the same girl with another cleaning girl and they are laughing with eachother and they again ask do you want your room cleaned? … what am I dealing with here? Why am I being harassed at this point for asking to have my room cleaned daily? I respond with yes… I do.. why am I being asked again? At this point I’m feeling I’m being targeted because they weren’t happy with me asked for my room to be cleaned. The fact that I paid over 400$ a night and was treated like an annoyance has made me so upset that I will never stay here again. I have stayed at Disneyland hotel, grand Californian and have recently chose this hotel because my kids liked the waterpark, but I will gladly pay more for the service I actually get at Disneyland hotels. Never again.
Very nice hotel and rooms, convenient location

I stayed at Courtyard since I am a Marriott member and was looking for a hotel walking-distance from Disney. I had a really good experience. I was torn between this hotel since it was so pricey for a 3-star hotel, but the Disney hotel was double the price. I was quite pleased with my stay. The rooms are spacious, and bathroom quite big too with 2 sinks with a walk-in shower. The shower and toilet were awkwardly placed but nothing to complain about. It had two big beds and bunk beds, with a lot of space to put luggage. The hotel had a self-service laundry, a Bistro and Starbucks downstairs for quick bites and breakfast, and a $40 valet parking. And a very short walk to Disney, iHop, McDonald's, and Panera. It was so easy and convenient! And you could tip everyone online. Housekeeping was not everyday - we were told Saturday but it was ok, it worked out for us. I used to stay at expensive hotels like the Four Seasons, etc., but the pricier hotels do not have the same amenities. They do not have self-service laundry and everything is at a higher cost. Courtyard had good spacious rooms, convenience, and everything you would need. The Bistro food was ok, not amazing, but it was sufficient and not too bad. They made some errors in my order so I had to keep reminding them. My only complaint is with the waterpark. My kids were excited to use it but it was very cold. The pool is very tiny and not heated, which was a huge bummer because we really wanted to use the pool. That part was quite disappointing. However, I still highly recommend Courtyard due to the rooms and convenience, but I would have preferred a hotel with a heated and bigger pool.
