Amazing and worth every penny.

Bucket List Destination Checked Off the List! Worth every penny and time!!! The rooms were decent and very clean. The balcony overlooking the Sahara is amazing. I loved sitting and watching the animals eating just feet from our room. The pool is spacious, clean and warm. The hot tubs weren't clean which was a little disappointing but you are surrounded by nature so it's forgivable.
An ok hotel

My honest review of this hotel. It’s very nice but I notice the carpet in the halls leading to the rooms are dirty and disgusting. We stayed in the jambo house. Our room was nice but one of the bed lights was hanging and not working. We have a balcony room facing the pool. You can hear everything outside. They start cleaning the pool at 6am and I can hear the machines as if the door is open. Now talking about location. It’s not convenient to any parks. Although it says animal kingdom in the name it’s about a 10-15 min bus ride to the park. I’m used to staying at a hotel where we can just walk to the parks. Everywhere was decorated for Christmas except this hotel. Which is disappointing I thought it would be at least animal theme decor. So I would say nice to stay once and experience it but I wouldn’t stay again.
Stay was mixed

At $1900 +/ night , I expected a lot more. The lobby was great and seeing the animals from your balcony was amazing !!! However the room was tired , rips in upholstery, phone not connected , lights that did not work and loose tiles. Requested 3 times for phone and lights to be fixed ??. Restaurant in Jambo House was great, but the one in our hotel was disappointing . I would wait to book this property until it is refurbished !!!!!!
Disappointed this stay

This was the second time we stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge. This time we splurged for Savannah view rooms, our party of 6 had two rooms. We had pre-arranged a grocery delivery and it did arrive on our arrival day. I was unaware that there was a $6.00 charge for the resort to hold the groceries but when I received the call that first evening to stop at the front desk and take care of the $6.00 incidental I assured the front desk that I would do that. As you can imagine with a party of 6 we had a jam packed itinerary but I had every intention of paying the $6.00. I received two additional messages on the room phone to take care of the $6.00. I find it inappropriate for a deluxe Disney resort hounding people for $6.00. On the last night of our stay, one of our room cards stopped working and after a long day at the parks (our rooms couldn’t have been further from the lobby) we had to call the front desk to get into the room. They said they would send someone to the room but after waiting 30 minutes, we had to go to the lobby to get assistance because no one came. At this point my granddaughter was falling asleep on the floor in the hallway. The front desks only explanation was that sometimes this happens with the room cards. I was not impressed with this stay at all and don’t think I will stay here again.
Neat place but cold pool

We stayed at the Jambo House (the main lodge), it is well themed, the music is constant, and the food is fine. The pool was open but the heater was broken for our entire 3 night stay. This was not shared with us at check-in as we would have considered staying somewhere else based on the cost of the room. We found a 65 degree pool when we went to check it out. When I inquired at the front desk after visiting the pool, we were told we could visit the pool in the adjoining village area which means a bus ride. There seemed to be no urgency on getting the pool heated and we were told the "part was ordered." The information about the pool should have been disclosed. When booking the hotel there were notes posted about construction and possibly the pool being out in the Village, not Jambo House. I get things happen but the non-disclosure and lack empathy was frustrating. We traveled from the cold and enjoy swimming after park days. The rooms are nice and seeing animals grazing out your patio is a cool experience. The bus service to the parks is good. However, next time we will likely stay somewhere.
