Perfect location and blissful resort

We loved our 2 weeks at Animal Kingdom Lodge as a family of 3. The setting is beautiful and the resort is well maintained. We were a little worried that people said it's quite far away from the parks but that really wasn't the case...5 minutes to Animal Kingdom and just over 10 to Epcot and Hollywood. The food at Boma was excellent as was The Mara for quick service. Beds exceptionally comfortable! Where else can you wake up to Giraffes :-)

Love this hotel the location is great for animal kingdom, the atmosphere was also very nice. The room was also clean and nice. The value is a bit on the pricy side but it’s worth it. There was a bit of noise in the early morning and night but that’s fine. The service and amenities were also really good.
Best Resort for young families at WDW.

Best Resort for young families at WDW. So, about 20 years ago, we took my family (two young kids) to stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Now, bigger family with two grandkids we are back. Perfect place for high value excitement for small ones. The decor. The view. The animals right outside your window. I told my g-kids we were staying at a hotel built inside a zoo! They loved it. Extras I noticed this go around. Super easy laundry with direct to phone pay and monitor. Great food on Disney meal plan downstairs by the pool. One drawback that should be considered is this resort has only bus or shared ride service transport to and from parks. While the kids liked riding the bus, it adds time to your schedule each day.
Beautiful resort!

This hotel is our DVC home resort, we had a few problems with the sofa bed and moved to Saratoga springs due to hotel being booked out but overall it’s a gorgeous resort full of animals in the savannah. The lobby is stunning and restaurant choices in Kidani and Jambo are gorgeous. Pool stunning! The best resort in WDW in my opinion. I know people complain about bus service with no other form of transportation but it’s worth it. Stay here ! You won’t regret it.
Not my taste at all

I visited the lobby just to see it. The bus ride from the monorail is extremely long. I found the interior to be dark and depressing. The atmosphere is cool but not a property for me.
