Great for a convention

Bullmastiffmom2max (New York City, New York) on Apr 23, 2024

I did not stay at this resort, but attended a three day convention here. This is a large hotel with, what appeared most people attending conventions. I wouldn’t consider it a family place since it appears to be geared towards large conventions and conferences. The food prices are crazy expensive. The staff in the convention halls are amazing. They were constantly going around cleaning, replacing water bottles and keeping everything in order. I couldn’t believe how large the conference rooms were. They were beautiful, well kept and with all the people there, it didn’t feel crowded. Great place for a conference, but I wouldn’t vacation there

Fun Day trip for family

N2WHA (Orlando, Florida) on Apr 22, 2024

Stayed here for 1 night with the family and it was a good experience. The hotel is very clean and the staff was very good. It does get very busy with the conference so be wary of dining options. The pool and lazy river were fun for the whole family.

Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Safari30660380921 (Arlington, Texas) on Apr 22, 2024

I knew something would be off on this trip when I laid down the first night and my pillow smelled like sunscreen, which could only mean they didn’t wash the sheets or didn’t wash them well. I was there for a business meeting and the restaurants are all medium quality/premium price and not impressive when trying to entertain customers. The relatively small gym was packed, even at 4, with 3 out of 10 treadmills broken, forcing me to wait around for equipment to use. Bar was nice with elevated drinks, but closed strictly at midnight, even when 100s of people are standing and sitting around, obviously wanting more. It’s like they don’t want the money in that department. Then on the last day I needed a noon checkout and it was not granted. I have gold status which should allow a 2pm checkout, but no go here. I told the manager, Derek, that I needed it and cannot leave by 11. He actually threatened me with forcible removal should I not be out by 11. He explained that if I do not leave the room at 11, police would arrest me and my bags would be packed for me. I could not believe my ears. Especially since we had just spend 10s of thousands of dollars at their hotel. Now, 8 days later, I still haven’t been given points or nights for my 4 night stay. Not that it matters much. Myself and my company will no longer use Marriott because of this. I just cancelled a summer meeting at a different Marriott, giving a very nice Hilton 20 rooms for three nights instead. This Marriott did a masterful job of losing a customer for life.

Fun! Lots of restaurants, pool, Waterpark in the hotel!

AlejandraA1467 (Charlotte, North Carolina) on Apr 06, 2024

We had a great time at our stay. Very big hotel with lots of restaurants, and activities. The hotel has kids and family activities during the day plus an arcade. Also there is a big and fun Waterpark with lazy river, super fun! Staff is very nice too. We had a great time! The only negative for the hotel is that parking is far. You have to walk all the convention building to get to self park. You can always ask for valet which is convenient.

Vacation Killer

Sc K on Apr 06, 2024

Truly a vacation-killer. The worst hotel experience I've had. The rooms and amenities are nice, but very expensive. They over-charge you at every chance. Expect to pay over $100 more than the published price. Also the "laser light show" that was advertised in the room view cost, had no lasers (broken) any of the 3 nights I stayed there. Imagine having spent $500+ a night, and then having mobs of inner city teens screaming down the halls all hours of the night, knocking on random doors, keeping your family up past 3am, hotel staff not caring to quiet them and then trying to blame you. There are many nice hotels in the Orlando area with great pools. Stay away from this one!
