Memorable Stay

We took the kids to Disney’s Riviera Resort during spring break and had a wonderful time. The resort is a relatively new addition to the list of hotels at Walt Disney World. Though small compared to other Vacation Club properties, it offers a welcoming and elegant charm. The resort's design is Inspired by the French Riviera and provides a fairly classic and magical experience for all family members. The resort is located in the Epcot area and features a Skyliner station that provides easy access to Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Initially, my husband had booked a smaller deluxe studio, but believe it or not, to our surprise, we were chosen to get upgraded to a comfortable one-bedroom villa. Ok, arrival, the cast member who assisted us and delivered our bags told us it was one of the resort’s premier rooms. What an excellent way to start a vacation! Thank you, Disney! As soon as we entered the one-bedroom villa, we were welcomed by an open floor plan and spacious room with a separate living room and kitchen, not unlike the more closed and segmented floor plan at Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas, where we stayed last time. The room features French-inspired furnishing and décor, offering an inviting and warm atmosphere for comfort and unwinding after a long day in the parks. Overall, we had a memorial stay at Riviera Resort, and we would highly recommend it for families with children.
Beautiful Deluxe Resort

We loved our stay here. We were in a deluxe studio preferred view and it was wonderful, room 8830. Rooms were clean, quiet, and spacious. There was also a little fridge and microwave for you to use. The best perk about this room is the two showers. One big stand up shower and one was a tub/shower. Also ,another great perk is the skyline and the access to late night at the parks. Would stay again.
Understated Disney Magic

My family and I spent 3 nights at the Riviera Resort, and really enjoyed it! My kids are 16, 13 & 13, so we didn't need an over-the-top character experience. I was looking for upscale, convenient with a wink of Disney magic, and this place really delivered. The room was perfect for our family of 5, with 1 king bed, a double (or maybe queen?) Murphy bed, and then a single pull-down bed as well. We had plenty of space and everyone slept really comfortably. But my favorite part was the bathroom that had 2 showers, making it much more convenient to get ready with 2 teenage daughters! We got a room overlooking the lake, but we were so busy, that we never really got to enjoy the balcony or the view. We spent one whole day at the pool. There were plenty of seats, and I liked that we had a couple of eating options right there. The Bar Riva was a perfect spot to enjoy a refreshing beverage and a nice salad (plenty of other options too). Before our long Disney days we would head down and grab a quick bite before heading to the park. The Sky liner was a hit with all of us and made getting to Hollywood Studios and Epcot a breeze. We also used it to go to the boardwalk one night for dinner...it was just a fun easy way to get around honestly. Our day at Magic kingdom was also an easy bus ride away. I was nervous that there might be long waits or crowded buses, but there weren't. I'll admit, I'm not a huge Disney person and thought this would probably be the last trip to Disney, but I loved this hotel so much it's making me rethink how long it will be until we go back.
Amazing

We were Lucky to stay at this beautiful hotel for 11 nights, we stayed in a deluxe suite which was perfect for us. We are a family of 4 with 2 adults and two 12 year olds. I was worried we would feel cramped and wouldn’t sleep very well but my very tall son stopped in the single day bed, and we all all slept fine! The only negative I have is there wasn’t much room for all our clothes for 11 nights so we mainly kept clothes in our suitcases. We absolutely loved the look and feel of the hotel, away from the hustle and bustle of the Disney parks we came back to our relaxed, luxurious hotel. All the staff we met were so friendly and helpful from the cleaners to the staff on reception. The smell and feel of the reception is amazing, it does really feel like coming home! We used the skyliner easily with no issues, we had the dining plan so had the quick service for breakfast or lunch in primo piatto. We also used the refillable mugs! We had the breakfast in topollionos and the character interactions were brilliant! There are 2 pools , one is a quiet pool and one is a busier pool which is noiser and has the slide, there are a lot of lifeguards around this pool. You could usually get a bed around the pools with no issues. Bar riva is nice but expensive for drinks and one night I decided to treat myself to an expensive cocktail but was disappointed it arrived in a plastic cup for 18 dollars! Other than that we had the dining plan which was amazing, we barely spent a penny. I would definitely recommend getting the dining plan if you are staying in the Disney resorts. We got the skyliner to Epcot and Hollywood studios with ease and we were really impressed with it, we never had to queue and we went at a really busy time of year. We absolutely loved our stay at the riviera and wouldn’t hesitate to come back!
Beautiful hotel let down by it staff, starts with the very unfriendly and gate security and continues to bad management

Beautiful hotel let down by unfriendly service, from the gate security all the way to hotel management, it was clear guests are just an imposition on their day. I’ve never felt less welcome at a Disney resort. It is unfortunate because the valet and the restaurant staff at Topolinos are excellent.
