Loved Andaz Scottsdale - even as a family! Gorgeous property, with an intimate feel

At the Andaz Scottsdale and loving it. Was trying to decide between Gainey Ranch (with the construction) or here with our 10-year-old and glad we made this choice! -We did a SUA for the Sonoran Suite which is a King and a seperate room with a pullout Queen. Tons of space. 2 FULL bathrooms, 2 patios, 2 mini fridges (one empty). Great space! Very clean lines. Comfortable linens. I definitely think this was a good use of a SUA for what you get! -Had dinner at the onsite restaurant and it was fabulous with a great setting. Live music (really good) every night 6-9 and plenty of seating around at fire pits to have a drink and listen, even if you aren’t dining. The sunset views over the pool were gorgeous. -Breakfast was great. As a globalist you get a free drink, entree and side (each) which was so much food! Live music for brunch on Sundays too! -Free s’mores in the lobby and a nice coffee bar every morning. -Pool had nice rafts and did not seem like the “party scene” I feared. The music wasn’t too loud at all and there is a hot tub too. They bring pitches of ice water around and have sunscreen. Lots of umbrellas. -Resort is sprawling. I would request to be closer to the pool/restaurant if you don’t want to walk (and you can even hear the music from your patio, which could be a plus or a minus). -Ryan, the front desk manager, was very helpful in making out stay even more perfect. Overall, it is very zen and pretty. I like the smaller feel, but with all of the amenities. If you like a more boutique hotel, I would definitely recommend.

We will be back!

My husband and I just returned from a 2 night stay in April and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Hyatt Globalist and we received an upgrade which we appreciated. We were able to park right outside of our building which was convenient. Ate dinner our first night out on the patio of Weft and Warp overlooking the pool. There was a wedding event at the pool area while we were eating, but it was fine. We ordered small plates which were very good. They had live music, but it was inside so we couldn't really hear it outside. Next morning we ate breakfast at Weft and Warp. It was also very good. No issues with service. I saw a few people in past reviews complain about slow service, but we did not have that issue either morning. Visited briefly with the peregrine falcon that was there for a visit, then went off for a hike. The front desk and the gentleman at valet helped us pick a hiking spot. We went straight to the pool when we returned. It was busy, but we were able to find 2 chairs together in some shade. Service around the pool was very good. JC was our server for two days and she was great-very personable and checked on us frequently to make sure we were taken care of. We enjoyed the music at the pool. We are in our 60's and didn't find it too loud. If you want a quiet pool there is the spa pool option from what I understand. We went off site for dinner our second night, but had a glass of wine at the bar when we returned to the hotel. Music was inside again, so we listened while we were at the bar. We enjoyed the musician. Think his name was Joel. I used the fitness center and it was fine-no complaints. It looks out onto the spa area pool. I did not get to use the spa or take part in the complimentary yoga they offered but I saw other guests doing yoga. We meant to play corn hole, but never did. I like all the fire pits they have to sit around. We would return again for sure. This was our second visit. I really like the feel of the property, not having to go into an elevator or hallway to get to your room, and all the people we interacted with were very friendly. The only comment I might make for management is to have the cabanas cleaned up by morning. Each morning we walked by and there were empty glasses, bottles etc on the tables. We weren't up really early either. Just a suggestion.

Everything I expect from a Hyatt

rskid67 (Fort Lauderdale, Florida) on Apr 24, 2024

I’ve always had 5 star experiences at Hyatt resorts. The Andaz Scottsdale was no exception. The service was outstanding in every area. The room had a cool but upscale vibe. The grounds were immaculate and beautiful! I can’t say enough good things.
