Great resort!

stephaniemY5141WO (Queen Creek, Arizona) on Jun 30, 2022

We had a great. time at this resort for my husbands birthday. We rented a cabana and enjoyed the day by the relaxing and quiet pool. The property is in a great location with a lot of various restaurants nearby. The staff was all very attentive and the rooms were great! We will definitely stay here again.

Away from it all, In the middle of everything

L D (Los Angeles, California) on Jun 28, 2022

We had the pleasure of staying here for my birthday. It was our first time in Scottsdale and from the moment we were checked in by Edison we knew our stay would be something special. We arrived at night and after driving 4 hours from Palm Springs (another property) this was an oasis. Even in the night sky we could tell that the grounds are beautiful. I was greeted as a Globalist and although I knew we were getting an upgrade unbeknownst to me it was a Sonoran Wellness Suite! I can say this property has amenities to infinity. When we drove to our suite, we were greeted with a slice of cake, birthday card from Lauren, and champagne waiting for us. The wellness suite was appropriate because during our stay if an employee said hello to me somehow, I ended up with a slice of cake...lol Our room was furnished with a Tonal smart gym and 2 bikes for our use during the stay. I needed to work off all the cake that I was having. There were 2 60" televisions, one in the bedroom and the other in the living room. The mid-century modern design, décor, and space made this place chic and cozy during our stay. At home, we have his and her sinks, and a guest bathroom, but during this stay it was even better because we had his and her bathrooms. The showers were enormous, and the Palo Verde products were great. We loved staying there and whether walking out and seeing Camelback Mountain when walking to our car or seeing the pool and beautiful palm trees and cacti on the grounds, leaving our suite was always pleasant. We had such a great start. Our first brunch at their property restaurant Weft & Warp continued the standard that was set by Edison the previous night. Sergio seated us and Johnny was our server. They both provided great service and are great representatives of what to expect at Hyatt properties. Our meal was delicious and after dining we had the honor of meeting the GM of the property Jeffrey. He was extremely personable, and he and I shared the same birthday. For some reason I shared that we shared a birthday with Barry Manilow. Of all people, I said Barry Manilow... I would understand if he reconsidered having us as guests again after that trivial information...lol He was nice, and the staff is extension of the leadership. You can tell that he enjoys delighting guests and that service is paramount to all that work there. During our stay we participated in some of the resort amenities and activities that the property offers. -Savor the Flavor: pasta making experience with Chef Brandon, it was a pleasure discussing our backgrounds, food, and an overall creative and cathartic. Chef Brandon took our pasta creations and plated a delicious meal for us. -Crystal Infused Perfume Creation: Palo Verde apothecary aromatherapy experience. Maria was great and helped us as we created our own perfumes with essential oils, crystals, and coconut oil. It was an engaging experience and we both loved the scents that we made. -Cattle Track Tour: We had the opportunity to meet some of the local artisans that contribute to some of the furnishings that make this Andaz feel local and global at the same time. Some of the artists perform as a band on Thurs at the Andaz. Shouts to Brent, Tim, and Carl for the tour, creativity and craftmanship. -Palo Verde Spa & Apothecary - Got my actual birthday off to a great start with a couples massage. We did the Therapeutic Massage and it made me realize that I need to pamper myself more. Thanks to Danielle and Nyah for the incredible massages. Afterwards we lounged at the spa pool and relaxed. The spa was an oasis in the middle of the paradise that Andaz is. Dining at Weft & Warp was always a pleasure. The outdoor patio overlooking the pool with Camelback Mountain in the distance always reminded us that in the middle of the desert this was not a mirage. Whether we had a late brunch or a dinner the food and service was exceptional. I want to thank Johnny, Kelsey, and Michael for providing exemplary service and all the friendly conversation. The food was great, and their service was a treat. I had a lot to say but I want to thank everyone for the service. The property is beautiful, the trees, the colors, the amenities, and the location are all a gem. It was our first time in Scottsdale, and I look forward to returning. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed every moment of our stay. Although we don't have an EV, I like the fact that they have chargers for electrical cars. As hot as Scottsdale was this place is cool. The only thing that I would like to see is more ways to promote recycling of water bottles.

Not the luxury we expected

gm1931 on Jun 22, 2022

Somewhat of a delayed review as we stayed in April. It is a pretty property that feels set out of the city despite being in one but overall fell short in expectations. Room- small and dark, not nearly enough lighting except for large window. We were forced to open the blinds which looked out onto a large courtyard allowing everyone to see in. Bathroom was nice but small. Furniture felt IKEA cheap, not the standard I would expect for a “luxury hotel” Pool- main pool has a Vegas club vibe which is not our scene but the spa pool was very quiet and relaxing, very limited food and beverage menu at spa pool though Service- was subpar in our opinion for a “luxury resort”. Was expected to bring our own bags to our room on check-in, just given a map to locate our room and sent on our way alone. I asked the waitress at the pool bar if an item was pasteurized as I am pregnant and she looked surprised saying “I have no idea”. Didn’t bother to find out for me. I ordered something else. Overall, would not return. If looking for luxury hotel experience would recommend the four seasons in Scottsdale instead.
