Another great vacation at Iberostar

This is our ninth visit to Iberostar Paraiso Lindo. We keep returning because we love the location, the amenities and the people who work there. We are members so we check in at the Prestige and we are are always welcome with big smiles!! Joe and Rodrigo always meet us with a smile and they ensure every detail is taken care of. Manny, the bartender in the Prestige always makes the best cocktails and we enjoy taking with him. Finally, the staff at the beach. Angel who ensures everyone is comfortable with seats and towels. He works so very hard, but always has a smile on his face. Delfina, who delivers us our favorite cocktails to keep us hydrated is always moving quickly to ensure all the people are happy and receive what we need. We have been coming her for so long, these people feel like family. These people are a true asset to Iberostar and they should be lucky to have such employees.
Avoid the spa!

From the beginning, they want to sell you a "not time share". Which cheapens the experience. The drinks are watered down and you need to ask for the better alcohol, if not it ruins the drinks. The cocktails are good and the bar staff are great. The resort is clean, every where you look some one is cleaning something. The sun chairs on the beach are not great and some definitely needs replacing. It is also the type of resort where the are more towels sunbathing than people. The staff does a great job of cleaning up the seaweed from the beach. I booked a Swedish massage during my stay and they claim it was a medium pressure style only, if I wanted deep I'll need to pay more. I left, as I didn't need someone putting oil on me for 50 mins. Don't waste your time or money. The spa staff did nothing but try to get me to pay more. The gym is beautiful and massive and offers plenty of classes. One thing to note for the water slides are that your kids need to be 120cm tall. The staff is really strict. My son was 119cm and won't let him on. Completely understandable for liability reasons. The food is way too salty and too deep fried at the buffet. The a la carte offers better quality food. You only need to book for 2 restaurants the steak House and the Japanese. The others are on first come first serve. I find most meals are served cold to warm, maybe for safety reasons? Room service is nice but it does take an hour. Overall it was an ok experience.
