Not worth what we paid

kingfan (Bourne, Lincolnshire) on Apr 23, 2024

We booked this for two nights as part of a road trip we had planned. This was by the most expensive of the hotels booked. And on arrival it looked promising. The exterior is lovely, the lobby very modern. We were about an hour early but could get in our room which was a bonus. We got out the lift and were greeted by very untidy cables hanging all along hallways. Our room was clean but basic and a bit outdated. We had two small doubles so decided to use one each instead of being snug in one together. The redeeming feature was the view. Watching the boats and harbour air coming and going were good to watch. It seems looking at other reviews, there is a much nicer wing to the hotel than the one we were in. For what we paid, I would have expected complimentary water, but no, and to have to pay for parking on top ramped the price up even more. It’s a great location near the harbour with places to eat within easy walking distance but definitely not worth what we paid to stay.

Fabulous stay in the Laurel Point Erickson studio!

Wellsden (White Rock, Canada) on Apr 22, 2024

We love the Laurel Point hotel for its excellent location, beautiful walks all along the water, proximity to the little ferries, and stunning views of the inner and outer harbour. We chose to stay in a spacious and well appointed ground floor studio in the Erickson wing and it was just beautiful, with a lovely and spacious patio overlooking gorgeous gardens and views of the outer harbour (the trees weren’t fully in leaf yet so we enjoyed a lovely view of the water). Thank you to front desk rep Lauren for helping us with deciding on the room. The studio room in the Erickson wing was definately worth the minor extra charge from the more standard king harbour view room in the older Laurel wing - the Erickson studio was head and shoulders better. We’ve also stayed in the sunset suite in the Lauren wing of the hotel on a prior visit and were happy with that room as well. We chose the bed and breakfast package which gave us complimentary parking as well as a choice of three breakfasts each morning in Aura (the hotel restaurant) which overlooks the harbour. (Skip the eggs Benny … not the best … we chose the very generous continental breakfast on subsequent mornings!) . We recommend the Laurel Point as a very comfortable hotel.

Erickson Wing

FlorianaMonceau (United States) on Apr 09, 2024

Erickson Wing is fantastic - the bathrooms are large and have huge bathtub and shower along with fantastic view with a COVERED balcony. Great size room and comfortable room. Not many outlets/charging areas and TV channels were a bit lacking. Room includes fridge, no microwave. Parking is not attached, but basically across the driveway, but is gated, which is nice. Will be staying again when we come back!! Hotel has beautiful art work, we didn’t have time to take advantage of it all - next time

great visit

Ian P on Apr 04, 2024

I really enjoyed the hotel even if it was for a hospital visit reason. I found it very comfortable. Went to the little cafe across from the restaurant a couple of times. I had dinner at Aura as well as the happy hour. A great meal and nice margarita. I was on a restricted diet or I would have had breakfast at Aura. The young lady at reception was simply outstanding. Staff in general were friendly and helpful. yes I would recommend and may go there again in a couple of months as I have another hospital visit in the works. Oh and the view of the harbour was so relaxing

Superb hotel in Victoria

Dave B (Cranbrook, Canada) on Mar 08, 2024

This is my home-away-from-home when in Victoria for business or pleasure. It’s a beautiful inspiring hotel, but it’s the amazing (friendly, professional, helpful, well-trained) staff team who make the difference. The Aura restaurant is superb for breakfast, dinner, or afternoon drinks. The addition of the CUO cafe is brilliant.
