Great hotel shame about the steps

Savannah beach club is a lovely hotel, which needs some tlc. The rooms are big, with huge comfortable beds, air conditioning and ceiling fans as well as a fridge with an ice box. The staff are fantastic and very friendly, the food is plentiful and good. The location is really good, easy to get about due to the reggae buses and taxis. There are 2 lovely big beaches within a 10 minute walk plus a small beach on the hotel doorstep. The only downside is the steps which are dangerously slippy after a rain shower, I slipped and banged my head, and there are lots of both steps and showers. . There are two lifts but out of five attempts to use them they were only working twice. Unfortunately the problem with the slippy steps would put me off retuning to this hotel.

Our 4th visit to SB; good to be back & room ready on arrival (next to the one we requested). Good that staff recognised us and made us welcome Room was clean & spacious (as expected) Some days the cleaning was better than others, but the towels were replaced everyday Breakfast - had an omelette every day (Angella - who was always very organised & efficient was the best) which suited me There was always some sort of fruit & yoghurt which suited my husband Lunch - Glenn’s burgers were the best + lovely pizzas (never have them at home so made a change for a couple but days) plenty of various salads + chicken/fish Didn’t bother much with the puddings but one lunchtime there was a hot caramel date pudding - one of the best things I had all holiday) Afternoon tea - not needed ! We had a cuppa twice in two weeks. Hardly anyone partook Evening meals - we had an issue with the availability of food in Drifters This was however addressed by Rodcliff General Manager. Entertainment - not a lot of it really but quite happy drinking under the stars & having a bit of background music Felt the fire eaters show should’ve been at say 8.30 because at 7.30 people are still eating Staff - how long have you got ? Annalis - best Mango Daiquiris - “made with passion & love” Miguel & Omari - just fun loving and hardworking (especially M at the end of the night) Tiffany very efficient & welcoming Petula - always a smile & a welcome Alicia (tall) & Nadia - pleasant, welcoming & funny Beverley - one of the best ALICIA B - our fave - best employee of SB - fun loving, helpful, always smiling, looked after us …& what a fabulous singing voice !! Staff are a credit to SB. It’s how you treat them all at the end of the day We had banter with them all & always thanked them We received great service from them all - without tipping any of them. Shame about the beach being washed away but not savannahs fault - always plenty of sunbeds however
