Perfect!

Absolutely amazing 2 weeks at the beginning of December. On arrival, check in is at 4pm, we were early but had a welcome rum punch at Drifters Bar and there is a water fountain with glasses so we were happy to sit and relax until the room was ready and we got our all inclusive wrist bands. The hotel complex is lovely, there's lots of plants and you can walk/swim around the lazy river. The upkeep and maintenance is absolutely spot on. Our room was perfect with a big balcony, huge bed, lots of storage space, a safe and walk in shower. 2 bottles of water are provided in the room, these are not replaced but the water in Barbados is tasty and drinkable so we filled the bottles up from the tap and kept them in the fridge. You can also get ice from the bar as there is an ice bucket in the room, plus tea and coffee. The all inclusive was fantastic value, lovely meals with plenty of choice. It can get a bit repetitive if you're there for 14 nights but the chef is creative with the dishes and even though I had fish pretty much every night, it was always delicious and varied. If we'd eaten out every night, we would have been having very similar meals anyway! Most meals are at Drifters (buffet style) with Racheal's or Choptix a la carte available a few nights during the week which you book into. Entertainment isn't on every night but when it was, there were some wonderful singers and there was limbo dancing and fire eating at the BBQ night. There's some great staff too who always have a big smile :) There are plenty of loungers available on the beach and around the pool. The hotel provide beach towels which you can take off the premises if you're heading off to another beach. The beach has sadly eroded following a hurricane but there is still plenty of space in and amongst the trees for sunbathing. The water along the stretch of coast in front of the hotel is rocky but people were snorkelling and there are great waves for surfing if that's your thing. You can walk along the beach a short way for a swim where it's less rocky and Pebbles /Browns beach is only about a 10 min walk away - these are lovely sandy beaches with lifeguards on duty and there's toilets/showers and loungers available to rent at a very reasonable cost. The hotel also run a free shuttle bus to a local beach, think it was three times a week. The hotel is in a great location and for getting around, the government buses which pick up at bus stops or the reggae buses which stop anywhere are great value and it makes it so easy to get about. Any of the buses cost 3.5 Barbadian dollars per person, per trip, regardless of the length of journey. You can get change on the reggae buses but not on the government buses. We explored different places by hopping on the buses - if you get a bus to Bridgetown, you can go pretty much anywhere on the Island from the bus station. The hotel have a trip service so if you fancy organised trips these can be booked at the hotel. Barbados is a beautiful Island and we'd definitely return to explore more and stay at the Savannah. The mosquitoes are evil though- be prepared!

Just got back from a fabulous stay here. Our room was a standard courtyard view but wow it was perfect. We were all inclusive and the food and drinks were amazing. Entertainment great but not on every night. We got married on the beach on 18th Dec and the hotel made it perfect for us. Shout out to the fabulous staff who made our stay just perfect. Already looking at booking for next year

We stayed for 2 weeks in November early December. From the very first moment we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by the hotel reception along with security they gave us a drink which was really welcomed after a long day travelling. We were quickly taken through the checking process then helped with our luggage to our room . Our room had loads of wardrobe space , a safe and drawer space . Tea & coffee making facilities should you need this . A lovely big walkin shower and a spacious bathroom . The beds were very comfortable we had two double because we were a family of 3 . Lovely big balcony with chairs and a table with a place to hang any clothes . We had the courtyard view in a delux room . The staff , well what can I say these guys work hard every minute of the day to make sure we have a great time , Ramon entertainment manager , Analise, Jamar, Shaniece, Alicia, Nakita and Tiffany in the bar and restaurants cannot do enough for you, always happy and nothing is too much trouble for them. Alicia sang on stage and was amazing showing off her talent to the guests. Every single day the staff were happy and very polite and always spoke to you even when passing by you. All of the staff ensured that you had drinks all the time especially water keeping you hydrated throughout the day. When it rained the staff helped keep the floors as safe as possible by soaking up the water and laying out safety signs and telling you to be careful when passing. There is a varied choice of food with Rachel's or Drifters place to eat they alternate these places at times because they have entertainment at both places . The manager should be very proud of his team they definitely make this hotel . Will definitely return.

This place is so lovely to stay, but the staff make the place the guys at the bar are really helpful. Especially Jamar for letting me know about the mosquitos and getting me the citronella! The security staff when you enter are very helpful too! Breakfast was very samey, would love to have more Bajan options. The place is like a bit of a maze to get to your room but a lovely trip.

Couldn’t fault a thing. The rooms are lovely, the beds are so comfortable and the staff truly make this hotel something special. There is a variety of food and drinks available, with multiple dining choices within the hotel and entertainment most nights. To make the most of the stay, get involved! Ramon, the activities coordinator, puts on many events throughout the day, from bingo to karaoke and even cocktail making. He is very engaging, and will do everything to ensure the guests are engaged. A shout out to Alicia, one of the lovely servers in the hotel. She is always smiling and knows how to get the guests dancing! She made our stay extra special, along with many other staff members. I could write and write about each individual person and how friendly they are. You will never forget the people you meet at this wonderful hotel. We are already looking to book for next year.
