Reception area flatters to deceive. Can’t recommend

We were relocated to Lake Louise instead of our original plans of being in Jasper. This involved a hefty price hike over the Jasper hotel too. First impressions in the Lobby and reception were good. Thereafter it was pretty much downhill. Let’s face it, Lake Louise village is a glorified truck stop. Our standard room was reminiscent of a Pontins chalet- maybe with better beds. Otherwise, the room failed on absolute cleanliness and in need of refurbishment beyond a paint job. My advice for anyone wishing to visit Lake Louise is to stay in Banff and visit as a day excursion

Location was spot on, and facilities were very good, plenty of space in the apartment we had for 4 people
