Lake Louise Inn, Very Disappointing
AdventureTraveler18 (Maryland) on Sep 15, 2024
I stayed here due to the good reviews but that was not my experience. I was shocked when I got to the property. It looks like it has not been renovated since the 1950s. Old carpeting, old furniture, old bathrooms. Also, there is no air conditioning, only a fan. Since there is limited hotel space in Lake Louise, I believe the owners feel renovation is not necessary as they can and do charge high prices regardless of the condition of the hotel.
Great base to visit Lake Louise and Lake Moraine
Lewis W (Greensboro, North Carolina) on Sep 14, 2024
We were a bit concerned about quality when reading reviews but we had a great 2-night stay. Yes - the rooms are very expensive but you pay for access and the ability to quickly catch morning shuttles to local lakes which are can't miss destinations. We were a bit disappointed in the initial room in building 4 (tiny bed for two 60's seniors) but manager Nataly addressed the issue quickly and politely with no increase in price. We had three excellent meals in the main restaurant where the food quality and display was better than expected. Definitely recommend the fish dishes and offerings on the vegan/vegetarian menu. The Lake Louise Inn staff are all polite and efficient and work hard to please. Yes - there are tour groups coming through but we have been on that end of the vacation model and it's a fact of life in most hotel properties. From what we observed, the groups are in early for breakfast and gone with minor disruption to other guests. We have great pictures and memories from our excursions to Lake Louise and Lake Moraine and we thank the Lake Louise staff for providing a base for making it happen.
