Waikiki without the noise and hassle

Lynette S (Hoolehua, Hawaii, United States) on May 17, 2025

We have stayed here many times - great location, excellent food at Lulu's, great service. We have recommended it to many friends. We live on another island (Molokai) so have to travel to Oahu frequently. Right across from the Park and also across from the beach, yet quiet and peaceful. Love this hotel.

He Wahi Ho‘omaika‘i ia Jules: A Place of Aloha, ‘Ohana, and Quiet Beauty in Waikiki

MissHistory on May 15, 2025

I want to sincerely thank Jules for her outstanding support during our stay. She was incredibly helpful with everything, kind, thoughtful, and generous with her time. Jules offered excellent advice on vegan-friendly dining, which made a big difference. She helped set up morning chairs and umbrellas, brought coffee cups for our morning brew, wine glasses for the room, and provided beach towels and tips for all-day parking on the street. At checkout, she went above and beyond by showing care and compassion when my sister was not feeling well and allowed us a bit of extra time. Jules, you did a great job. Mahalo nui loa. We stayed in a room with two queen beds, which was perfect for me and my two sisters. The location is unbeatable, right next to the park, just across the road from the beach, and around the corner from coffee shops, the Honolulu Zoo, and the Shell for music events. If you are lucky enough to know someone at the Outrigger Canoe Club, there is a peaceful beach nearby. The sunset across the road is truly magical, and sunrise hikes up Diamond Head are a must. This is not a five-star resort, but it has something more valuable: a genuine sense of aloha and ohana. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and we found the other guests to be friendly, open, and easy to chat with. It feels like a community. There are a few areas that could be updated, the pool needs some refurbishment, and the pillows could be replaced, but the new umbrellas were great, and the pool deck is a fantastic spot to relax. We used the small refrigerator for wine and snacks, ordered a decadent dinner from Lulu’s, and stocked up on souvenirs from Walmart and Costco. There is ice available on the 3rd floor, and the location is perfect, you can walk to the Uni, the JC, Punahou High School, and the Royal Hawaiian Heritage Jewelry Shop. Or simply take an Uber, Turo, or drive anywhere with ease. This is a great spot at the quieter end of Waikiki, full of charm and local flavor. We are grateful for our time here and especially for the care shown to us by Jules. Mahalo for helping us feel at home.
