Stayed in premium suite. Large and beautiful with a great view. Premium liquor is bettter. Patron tequila. Premium lounge was very good and had some nice snacks all the time. Beach are is nice and had no issues going into the ocean. Food overall pretty good. Not much selection for al la carte dining. Italian was very good. Did not like the running for the chairs in the morning. Weekends when they are busy chairs around the pool or fcing the ocean go quickly and are often empty for many hours on end. Some occassions did feel like there was some resentment towards the Gringos. Catering to Mexican people now more so, even though I never was them tip. The resort was about 10-20% Gringo'sOverall had a great time and would return

We had a excellent time the first time in Barceló Ixtapa, that we come back with our family for our second trip and planning another trip for the end of the year .

Just returned from our third time to Barcelo Ixtapa. Stay was wonderful as usual. What makes this a great place to stay is the staff, some of whom we've gotten to know. The views, especially the sunsets cannot be beat and the rooms are very comfortable for an older hotel. Housekeeping does an awesome job and our room was spotless every day. We would like to commend the front desk staff for the excellent service and helpful attitude, all of whom treated us with friendship and smiles. Kudos to Latzio, Socorro and especially Grecia who greeted us with the warmest hug of an old friend! Your welcome made us feel very special. Rene at the bell desk, who always had a smile and a helpful suggestion. Constantin in the Premium lounge for making sure the coffee was ready to go and for your friendly service. Lucio in the pool restaurant who has the warmest smile and remembered us from trips past and provided the best service along with Anibal, our brother from a different mother. Caesario at the pool bar went the extra mile to make us a drink just as we like. Thank you for your graciousness while visiting your wonderful country. We hope to return again next year and in the meantime, we will miss all of you! Roberta and Gary

It was good experience but I will not go back… my expectations are a lot higher, on the first day of my stay there was a leak in my bathroom, poor maintenance of the outside restrooms by the pool bar

Very nice resort, well run and looked after, good food. Excellent staff. Was extremely busy with families and overwhelming with crowds at pools and restaurants. But understand as hotel would have been mostly empty if relying on Canadians only for visitors.
