Andaz Pools

Erin H (Maui, Hawaii) on Jun 10, 2024

I booked a resort pass to use the pools and they where AMAZING!! We didn't want to leave. Dennis helped us get our towels and gave us a full tour of the areas. He even checked in on us and remembered our names. Brent was our server, he was always smiling. He gave great recommendations and checked on us just the right amount of times. We had the lobster grilled cheese and the chicken katsu sandwich. Chefs kiss! The spicy margarita was so good and refreshing. Just the right amount of heat. WE WILL BE BACK!! Thank you Dennis and Brent for a great day!

Great memories

807sergiyz (Salt Lake City, Utah) on Jun 10, 2024

This is one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at in Maui, and it’s not just because of the excellent facilities. The standout feature is the exceptional staff who enhanced every moment of our vacation. From the valet and front desk to housekeeping, restaurant waiters, bartenders, chef, concierge, yoga instructor, kayaking and beach staff, and even the luau, we experienced a five-star service across the board.Thank you so much for making our vacation unforgettable!

Great Stay at Andaz Maui

KrisK_8 (Chicago, Illinois) on Jun 08, 2024

Great stay at Andaz Maui. Location: Wailea, 35-40 minutes from the airport. 10-15 minutes from Kihei, the closest “town.” The resort is at the head of a “beach walk,” a roughly two-mile paved walkway that winds along the coast and in front of the other hotels and condos in the area. It’s a nice walk and we walked it almost every day. Room: We stayed in one of the 3-bedroom Ilikai Villas which were great. Good option when traveling with 4-8 people. They aren’t cheap at a little more than triple the cost of a single room, but they have a fully-equipped kitchen with an outdoor grill so you can cook for yourself which will save you a lot as dining in Maui is expensive. The living room also gives you a private place to gather. Pro-tip: Costco is close to the airport and their prices and selection are basically the same as on the mainland. Restaurants & Bars: Several options and they were nice. We tried the Chef’s table at the main restaurant for dinner one night and that was fun. Chance the chef and his team were enthusiastic, engaging, and clearly proud of their food. Our server, Tia, was a wealth of knowledge on wine which was interesting to learn about. We also had sushi at Morimoto which was excellent. The main restaurant has a daily breakfast buffet with a lot of options, including homemade pastries. Definitely try the banana-macadamia nut pancakes. Loveal, our server, was super-charming and helpful. We also met Elijah who was also very friendly and gave us some good advice on the local area. Beach/Resort Amenities: Beach is really good. Soft sand. Good size. Water is generally calm and not rocky as some beaches in the area can be. Several pool options and you can opt for a serene or active environment. It was easy to get a chair. Good assortment of activities. Water sports like kayaking and outrigger canoe, fitness classes, and some cultural stuff like Ukulele lessons and lei making. Overall Service: Great. All of the employees we met with were genuinely nice and helpful. We loved our visit and highly recommend the resort.

Wonderful staff and beautiful resort

Kenneth Y on Jun 07, 2024

This is a very tricky review to write. While I had several issues with the hotel room, I was also very impressed with the amount of effort and care that the staff and even the managers at the hotel took to take care of my family's needs. They really went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The managers took time to speak with me to explain the situation honestly and with empathy. While I cannot give a 5 star rating, I still highly recommend the Andaz for families looking for a place with a friendly staff who will take care of you.

Not meet my Hyatt category 8 hotel expectations

Sanni C on Jun 02, 2024

The manager team didn’t email welcome greetings before arrival. We had to drag our own luggage into the hotel. Bellmen are not helpful. The standard room is small for 4 people. The sound proof of our room 531 is zero. We heard almost everything of our neighbor room 533. We had to whisper the last three days since a family with a baby and a toddler checked in. It’s super uncomfortable when you have to whisper in your room because you were afraid of waking up the baby. I would be angry if I spent over $1k per night here.
