Horseshoe Hotel

kristal141 (Red Deer, Canada) on Dec 13, 2025

Hotel location is great. Easy to get anywhere with the monorail station. Bed was very comfortable. Shower had great water pressure. Friendly staff. Cons are the hotel could use some renovations. Wallpaper was peeling.

Didn’t get the room we paid for

G20255 on Dec 10, 2025

This is the sixth hotel I’ve stayed at on the strip and it’s probably the worst room I’ve stayed at. It wasn’t bad but it was very dated and needs a lot of TLC. We paid extra for a strip view king room, when we checked in the lady at the desk tilted her head then called someone on the phone to ask about our room, after repeating it a couple times to the person on the phone she sighed and hung up. Then after a couple minutes said we were ‘upgraded’ to a junior suite… but what they didn’t mention is that room is at the back of the hotel with no strip view, it would seem they didn’t have the strip view room we paid for, so we were disappointed. The room was big but nothing special to any other room, if anything it was dirtier, lots of dust everywhere, surfaces well worn. There’s no coffee facilities, like most vegas hotels I guess they removed them so you go downstairs and buy coffee. The fire alarm went off when we were there, after it went off for a while, we asked housekeeping in the hallway what’s happening and they shrugged and continued to work, we decided to go down the fire exit with other guests just to get downstairs and be directed back up with no explanation. The positives are: close to the monorail, food court is okay (though expensive) and the arcade is fun. The negatives: don’t get the room you paid for, rooms need a good thorough clean and lacking basic facilities. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Get it in Writing - Room rate was not disclosed at time of check in

angela h on Dec 09, 2025

Buyer beware! Before you check in GET A COPY OF YOUR ROOM RATE. I was very surprised when I went to check out that the room rate was NOT the rate I was expecting. Get it in writing is all I can say. As for the hotel, it was fine. View was great, the limited staff I talked to seemed pretty happy (especially the lady at the snack shop), but I do not plan to ever come back to this location. Check in was awful (waited over an hour twice to check in (I had to leave and come back)), receptionists were not friendly, disputed the bill for a rate I did not authorize and got nowhere. They said they left a message regarding the dispute. They did not. At least not on my phone. I will not be back. Not in a million years. There are lots of other hotel options in Vegas I will choose over this one.

Surprising Lack of Security and Inconsistent Room Cleanliness

T9604HAjeff (Baton Rouge, Louisiana) on Dec 06, 2025

This was my first experience staying at Horseshoe. The desk in the room had an inexplicable sticky substance on the desk. On day 4 of my 5 day stay, the room was not serviced. The key card readers in the elevators didn't work so non-guests had access to the floors. There were no visible security personnel at entrances or supervising access to the elevator areas. I am in Las Vegas for conventions 2-3 times per year - this is a hotel I am recommending my employer put on our list of properties to avoid.

Good Value and Center Strip

rallen2018 (Southampton, United Kingdom) on Dec 06, 2025

The room rate and a poker room in the casino were the big appeal. I stayed 7 nights at Horseshoe for a total room cost of $475 for the stay. The front desk person gave me a room in line with my personal requests. The room was clean and quiet, the bed was comfortable and the room services (air conditioning, shower water pressure, etc.) were in good order. The only negative for me was the lack of towel rails in the bathroom, and no shower mat. The only towel rail was on the shower door where I would expect a shower mat. Considering the center Strip location, I couldn't have expected better for what I paid.
