Terrific hotel in a really nice location, it’s an older hotel, kept in good condition. The bar was central, and having a Sixt car rental office onsite was a real bonus. We found all staff to be friendly and welcoming, tho the Barman seemed to disappear at times for a lengthy period…

Good location but old and very poorly run

This is an old hotel that has had a very minimal renovation and is simply not well run. The rooms are worn out and any paint that was applied as a mild renovation is starting to peel off. The staff are all over-worked and miss many details. We had rooms not cleaned during a three-night stay, the breakfast kitchen staff was frazzled, and the food was frankly terrible (very spoiled cheese in omelette). Worst of all, we were supposed to get a credit for some of the missteps. Discussed this at the front desk, and credit did not go through. Called again a few days later, was promised credit would be made, it was not. Called their accounting department, and there is always an outgoing message saying someone is out of the office and can't answer. This is just bad. I am a Sonesta Travel Pass Platinum (top level) and this was my experience, so I can't imagine it is much better for others. The pool deck is falling apart with pieces of the decking material chipping off and old loungers. Really seems sad when could be a nice space. Bottom line, this is a high-volume hotel with tons of airline crews and large event groups. It should be avoided by individuals seeking a reliable well-run hotel.
