Andrea is so so fun. She made sure we all had a good time and is so so sweet! She played volleyball with us and beer pong and workouts in the pool! she always had a great energy and is so entertaining. Jesus was also a super fun bartender he was so kind and brought the party! This break was just what we needed. We also made use of the clinic and had a doctor to my friend with an allergy in 30 minutes which was very comforting!

A 3 star clean resort with a need for upgrades especially painting. Majority of staff are very accommodating especially Evette at reception and room manager. With the exception of the freshly made breakfast omelettes the buffet is okay. Luna restaurant is good tasting food for lunch and dinner. Dinner menu changes each evening. Biggest downfall is the loudness of the music. Can’t have a conversation or concentrate on your book when at poolside. Each evening they have live music and it’s so loud you can’t get to sleep after 10 pm.

My husband and I enjoyed 2 1/2 weeks at this lovely resort in February 2025. It is listed as 4 star, and it mostly exceeded our expectations. The staff were great - friendly, very hard-working and helpful. Too many to name, but we thank you. The resort is older but was obviously well built. It’s been updated and kept in good condition with a beautiful beach location. The grounds have attractive cactus gardens with tropical plants and trees. Our room was as pictured and everything was in good condition. The buffet restaurant is excellent. There is a wide choice of freshly prepared dishes at each meal. The evening dinner themes of Mexican, Asian, Italian or International were really great. My compliments to the chef! I have a few comments. It’s good to know that from the street/lobby end to the pool/beach level there is are a couple of flights of stairs. The adult pool is also up a flight of stairs. So it’s not suitable for people with mobility issues. Also it’s important for people to know there is no swimming in this region. My one complaint is that the speakers used for the activity people and their music is at full volume. Do I need to hear Bingo calls for 10 people yelled all over the resort? Or constant heavy bass drumming? It’s good to have fun but at times I was chased away from the pool to the lobby or my room. Overall, the Decameron was a great choice for our much needed winter break. We will definitely consider returning.

Soledad was a great server! She’s very friendly and professional. The entire staff was wonderful. And a nice man served that was serving dessert, served me fruit and it wasn’t part of the buffet setup. For a buffet, I thought the food was good and I went back for seconds. I would definitely come back!

Pros & Cons Went end of February. little cool at night but day was great. Good- the food at the buffet. Great variety each meal. Seems to preheat some foods from previous meals like the bacon and beans. They do over cook foods too much but it's a different culture too. Luna restaurant is a joke. Don't eat out of a precooked preheated food. Lunch and dinner. The buffet is really good. The staff such as Hskp. front desk are amazing hard working people for sure. Constantly cleaning something. The bar tenders are terrible. They act like they have better places to be. The liquor is really watered down so take your own. May I suggest Don Julio haha. one of my favorites. Go to the Super Mercado great selection of anything 5 minute walk. The give away is when you have a bottle of tequila regular next to a bottle of reposado at the bar shelf and the colors are almost the same. They must think were idiots. Drink margaritas for 4 hours and go to the restroom 4 hours with no buzz, yep it's bad. Room are decent and comfortable (clean)
