Not Sure I'd Recommend this Atlantis to Aquaman

Bill S on Jan 31, 2026

Visited for a large conference. I wouldn't recommend. Restaurants were nothing special and VERY overpriced for service and food quality. Room was at best a 3-star (more like 2) with basics but at 4-5 star price. Lots of maintenance needed with missing paint, broken tiles, malfuntioning AC. Common areas were really dated. Price of room was comparable to 4 star hotel in U.S., but that was without the resort fees, VAT fees, you name it fees that were added onto the room charges (which honestly irks me since we were in a conference room the entire trip and never experienced the "resort"). When you total it up, just the room cost was more like a 5 star hotel. Been to Atlantis Dubai and that property is much better maintained and higher quality.

Beautiful Resort — But a Few Things to Know

StowMomof2Boys (Stow, Ohio) on Jan 31, 2026

My husband and I stayed at The Coral for a conference, and the location couldn’t have been more convenient. It’s a quick walk to the Conference Center, the casino, the pool, and an absolutely gorgeous beach. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. The hotel and our room were very clean and comfortable. However, the walls are extremely thin—we could hear everything happening in the neighboring room, from TV and conversations to even belching. Thankfully, we spent very little time in the room because the resort itself is stunning with plenty to see and do. We tried several of the celebrity chef restaurants and were very happy with each meal. (I’ll post separate reviews, but I have to give a special shout-out to the vegan tasting menu at Ko Sa-Wan (at The Cove) —highly recommend!) Many of the restaurants were a bit of a walk from The Coral, but we didn’t mind it. There’s also a shuttle bus available if you prefer. The casino is a great central hub of activity with bars, table games, and lots of slots. Tip: drinks are free if you’re gambling—we didn’t realize this until the last day! A few important notes for future travelers: Taxis: Twice we requested taxis that accepted credit cards, and both times we were given cash-only cabs. The second time, we didn’t have enough cash, and the driver had us pay through another taxi driver who added a fee. Definitely carry cash if you’ll be using taxis. Bellhop Service: We arrived about 30 minutes before check-in. A bellhop told us rooms were delayed, took our bags, and sent us to the desk. When we got there, our room was actually ready. We then had to wait in line to retrieve our luggage and were charged for bellhop service in addition to the cash tip we had already given—leaving us feeling like something wasn’t quite right. Tipping: A 15% gratuity is automatically added to almost everything at Atlantis, which is fine, but we didn’t notice it at first and added our usual 20–25%, resulting in some very generous 35–40% tips. We had a lovely trip overall and would happily return—especially to bring our young adult sons. As a couple who typically visit adults-only all-inclusive resorts, we probably wouldn’t return to Atlantis on our own, but it’s a fantastic destination for families and groups.
