Exceeded expectations but will probably not return
Jennifer T on Feb 15, 2025
This resort exceeded our expectations. We, admittedly, were apprehensive going here as we are not big resort fans. The resort is quite large and definitely a lot of walking but we don't mind that as we are just a couple so no kids to lug around. Pros - beautiful grounds and beautiful room - very friendly staff with only one or two exceptions - plenty of options for pools but only 2 were heated Cons - too much of a Vegas feeling for me - everything is very expensive - only 2 pools were heated - too many people everywhere and hard to find chairs both at the pools and on beach Tip- reserve chairs over at the Beach Club. $100 per chair but it all goes towards food and drink.
Baha Mar, good NOT great yet!
CLight7 (Tampa, Florida) on Feb 15, 2025
VERY Nice resort, but grossly overpriced and service needs much more work. Check in process is way too long (disappointing) with limited eating choices for a resort this size. Check out is smooth but check bill carefully for 'surprise' charges. The walk to Baha Bay is a bit too long for small kids but the water Park is delightful. Parents should be able to slide with kids 2 and under as some kid slides are way too long or dangerous for this age group. Some staff are truly exceptional but there are a few bad apples who seem not too care much.
