The Great: property is extremely clean and well designed. Housekeeping is doing a FANTASTIC job. Cleanest hotel room and common spaces I have seen in years. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Pool is warm on a cold day and pool staff are great. They make rounds about every five minutes for food and drink orders. They allow dogs. I saw plenty of dogs, but never heard any noise from them. Also, our room was fresh smelling you would never know that they allow pets. The Not so Great: self parking is $25 a day and it is across the street. Just know this going in. If you valet, those guys are great and readily available. The Needs Improvement: customer service. This area needs some work. We had two rooms and in one of them the AC did not work. I called and was told that they control everything with the air conditioning remotely so I just need to call and tell them to change the temperature. This is not true. The AC was broken. So we wasted two hours waiting for that and then reported it again. Maintenance came and told us that there was a problem going on, but it should be fixed and to just give it some time. Another two hours passes. The room is 80°. I go downstairs and can tell that they are annoyed. There is no"hey I'm sorry let's see what we can do to help you". Instead, they point to a maintenance guy in the lobby, who I speak with who tells me my room is 68° according to his computer. It is not and I tell him so. He also is annoyed and so I ask what can be done or should we ask for a room change? He says to go to the desk and ask for a room change. I do that and they are clearly annoyed. I did not break the air conditioning so why the annoyance with the guest I do not know. never an apology. We are handed keys for new rooms on the third floor overlooking the roof. We were on the fifth floor with at least a city view. The hotel was nowhere near full occupancy. I'm guessing this is our punishment for complaining. There is a paper in the room that tells you you can text with questions or requests. Don't bother because nobody will answer that. Would I stay here again? The clean rooms are a major plus but knowing that if you have any kind of a problem you are out of luck not sure that I would. There are plenty of hotel hotels nearby.
