They Couldn't Get Reservations and Check Out Right

MrsB503 (Seal Beach, California) on Apr 23, 2024

A family get together including multiple generations. I booked more than 6 months in advance, and requested rooms near each other and near a pool (for the kids). I had to repeat those requests again a week before our trip. We did get rooms near each other, but not close to a pool. The rooms are like a small condo, with a microwave and refrigerator. That worked out well, so we didn't have to go out for every meal. They encourage checking out via text message. Which got totally screwed up and we didn't ever get a folio of the total charges for any of the 3 rooms, and instead of all being charged to us as the hosts, each member of the family got charged. How did they mess this up? Don't know. But they did. Took them 4 days to clear that up., however I never ever got a folio of the charges in writing nor via email. The property is nice, lots to do. But they need to do a better job with the records and record keeping. We also had a problem when trying to use the property shuttle. We would wait and wait and wait, but it never came. UGH. A 20 minute walk to the pool is not appreciated!

Horrible service!

carl k (Huntington Beach, California) on Apr 23, 2024

Horrible service. Fire alarm malfunction caused alarm and lights to go off all morning, we had to vacate. Came back couple hrs later, still going off! Called front desk they said had been fixed. WTH?!? Told them no they are not. Had to leave again, finally fixed by early afternoon. Called front desk to ask for some kind of credit, they said NO. WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!!

Comfortable and spacious base for exploring area. And pickleball onsite!

Cindy_Louer (Toronto, Canada) on Apr 13, 2024

This was an excellent base for exploring Joshua Tree National Park and attractions in the Palm Springs area. We had a very comfortable one bedroom condo with a balcony overlooking a large pond/water feature and the golf course. I think most or possibly all suites have similar views of different water features and ponds. In addition to the lovely view and spacious accommodations, we enjoyed some activities on the resort - especially the pickleball lessons (free)! We also enjoyed playing ping pong and the happy hour with free drinks, an unexpected bonus. We were too busy on excursions to take advantage of most activities but they offered many. Also appreciated the easy parking. We paid less renting from a timehare owner. Full rack rate would have been overpriced for this place. My rating reflects the excellent value for $ of our particular type of reservation.

Go back to Marriott standards

suelisa1 (Kelowna, Canada) on Mar 31, 2024

We have been coming here for 10 years and we are seeing this resort is going downhill. There seems to be corners being cut with supplies in the room, less staff working and the prices for drinks and food at the pools going up. The staff are pleasant but the units are really needing work. One thing we would like to see with the staff is to enforce the rules…we go the the pool and deck chairs have towels on them but no one arrives to use them for the 4 hours we are at the pool. Also, no pets allowed yet we have seen several dogs around who are definitely service dogs…very frustrating as an owner here. It’s a great resort if they went back to how they used to run it several years ago…

Loved this resort

susanpD7342BN (Rocklin, California) on Mar 26, 2024

Great stay. The room was comfortable and clean. Very quiet. The resort is beautiful with several large pools. We’re walkers so we enjoyed lots of areas to walk. The food at the pools was good ( typical menu & drinks) staff were friendly and efficient. We’re Marriott owners my one complaint continues to be no housekeeping for a week ( when I called was told it was offered every 8 days) they were always quick to bring fresh towels when requested. If you’re not providing housekeeping at least provide cleaning products! A week is long time not to clean bath and kitchen.
