Some good some bad

First of all, the good parts of shadow Ridge, the layout of the condo and the grounds are very nice. The pool areas are very nice and well maintained. The shuttle bus on premises are a nice touch and a nice way to get up to the only restaurant on premises. Giuseppe‘s restaurant is a very nice restaurant and recommended. The bad part is the furnishings are old, dated and feel dirty. They need to be replaced with updated furnishings. The carpets are dirty and walking around barefoot made the bottom of your feet black. There are only a few areas in the complex that offer electric vehicle charging, this was very inconvenient. The condos, that we were in, had no way to make ice. The only ice machine that I saw was at the pool areas. The layouts of the kitchen and the placement of the flatware are out of reach for most smaller people. During our visit, we had six full bottles of wine removed from our room by the maid. The half case of wine was in the kitchen. We complained to the management and they “investigated” . The housekeeper told them she”thought” they were being recycled. Really?? We were not offered any type of compensation by management.
in a city where first class hotels are a dime a dozen this property should be close to the bottom of your search

I stayed February 12–14, 2026, and I strongly recommend finding another place to stay. These villas are extremely overpriced for the quality you receive. Upon check-in, we were told (after specifically requesting a ground-floor unit) that we were on the second floor — and, by the way, the elevator wasn’t working. That was never communicated in advance. The villa itself was unacceptable. It smelled heavily of smoke, which we reported to the front desk. Nothing was done. The floors clearly hadn’t been vacuumed — there were THC gummies scattered across them that housekeeping somehow missed. The refrigerator was dented up, the bathroom sinks looked like they’d been quickly wiped rather than properly cleaned, and the bathtub was flat-out disgusting, with someone else’s hair and visible dirt still inside. The on-site gift shop that supposedly carries food never had basic items in stock. Every time we asked for something, they were out. Checkout is a strict 10:00 AM with no flexibility. When you’re spending nearly $1,000 for roughly a day and a half, you expect at minimum a clean room and functioning amenities. That wasn’t the case here. In the Palm Springs area — where there are so many great options — this property would be at the bottom of my list. Marriott’s villa properties have noticeably declined since COVID, and the service has not returned to what it once was. If I could give zero stars, I would.
Walls are so thin

Stayed here over President’s weekend. The staff have all been friendly and when I have asked for extra blankets from housekeeping they were very responsive. The hospitality team even called to make sure they were delivered. The kids club has a lot of activities, but they aren’t well communicated in the app, I would recommend visiting and picking up a calendar of activities. My issue is how thin the walls are. For this being small studio villas I can hear the conversations of all the people in the rooms adjoining mine (including above). The worst is the knocking - when others are knocking on a room door in the entire hallway or floor above mine, I can hear it as if it is my room. For how well this property is dressed up, it’s really disappointing. I also disliked that they cold called me to offer me a free night to listen to their timeshare pitch. It was really intrusive to be called in the late evening outside of business hours. I have never had another hotel property do this (even at Aulani for DVC or other Marriott properties). Food options are also limited with 1 pool dining and then an Italian place on site. The Italian place has super small portions. Everything else is a 10 minute drive and the majority are chain restaurants. I would not stay again.
Third visit to this lovely property - always happy to be here

Came back to stay at this property for our third visit here, and we were in the Roadrunner Village Building 2700 again, this time in a 2 BR unit on the top floor, facing the 16th fairway and a mountain view as well. Check in was easy and fast and the front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. The quiet pool in Roadrunner Village was very mellow this time and the whole vibe of the property was calm and peaceful this visit. Good amenities in the unit and on property overall. We always enjoy our visits at this property and would gladly return for another visit.
Disappointing.

We have been members of Marriott since 2003 and stayed at very good ( Ritz Carlton San Fran residences) to bad ( Harbour lake Bahamas ) vacation club properties. We never used our presidential / Titanium card because we thought it was a perk when acknowledged and not a right. Mostly the front desk does acknowledge it and if they do not , we believe because they might not have any perks to offer at that location or time. We stopped for couple of days at Shadow ridge on our way to Vegas Grand chateau. Coming from Canyon villas in Phoenix which was excellent we were tired driving and accepted what ever available and we were given garden level villa. Check in took about 45 min. Upon entering the villa we found a huge machine ( Restore air) in the middle living room running loudly. The whole villa was sticking with musty air which was unbreathable. We called front desk and they said they will send someone to investigate. We waited for a couple of minutes and could not breathe the air so opened all doors and asked our kids to wait outside. We called the front desk to see if they could change the rooms. Even before we try to explain the reason, the front desk person was quite adamant that due to holiday season they cannot change the room. They stated maintenance would be able to take care of it or you could keep the machine running to help with the smell. It was unbelievable as the machine was making loud noise, almost like running lawnmower, or at least similar to loud vacuum cleaner. Then the lady from maintenance showed up and was stunned with the amount of smell coming from the villa. She offered to use air fresheners or wash the walls with soap ? She was still not sure if the smell will be better. She called her manager, and explain the situation who advised us to call the front desk again. Finally, the front desk agreed to change us to the villas on the other side of the same building . They were not any better but at least they were not smelling. We were at shadow Ridge in 2018 and loved it. Since then the property is quite rundown, broken tiles, no pressure in the shower, cabinets that are falling off. Atleast that was the condition of the villa that we stayed in. Maybe there might be good ones in the property and being a festive season, we understand that the property might be full. However, in such situation, we believe they shouldn’t offer room/villas to the guests and inconvenience them. They were many other properties to choose in Palm Springs.
