Another Year, Another Great Time.

1aloha1969 (United States) on Jul 15, 2026

We have visited Shadow Ridge every year since 2013, and once again, we had an amazing experience. Typically, we stay in the 2600–2900 buildings, but those were being renovated during our visit. We're already looking forward to staying there again next year. This year, we were assigned a room in Building 2500, which we really enjoyed. The patio overlooked the par-3 17th hole, and it was conveniently close to the main pool. As an end unit, the room was also noticeably larger. Unfortunately, we encountered a mosquito issue, but the staff quickly addressed it by moving us to another room in Building 1100, right on the 18th fairway. The new location offered stunning views of both the course and the mountains. We were completely satisfied with the resolution and especially grateful for the accommodation and the week-long credit. A special thank you to Chad for taking such great care of us. The outstanding service came as no surprise. Year after year, the staff consistently makes us feel welcome. The bartenders remember us after just one introduction and treat us like regulars throughout our stay. I'd like to give a special shout-out to Israel and Jesse at the Chuckwalla Pool Bar and Guillermo at the Snake Bites Pool Bar. They are fantastic—friendly, engaging, and masters at making great drinks. The text service is another standout feature. Whenever we needed something, we simply sent a text, and the requested items usually arrived within an hour. One helpful tip for future guests: if you plan to use the BBQ grills, be sure to request grilling utensils when you first get settled in. The pools were open and in excellent condition. The water was refreshingly cool, unlike the warmer temperatures often experienced later in the summer. My only criticism would be the music selection. During our two-week stay, we heard countless songs that were unfamiliar and, frankly, not very enjoyable. A playlist featuring more 80s, 90s, and reggae music would be a huge improvement. Most guests wouldn't feel the need to bring their own speakers if the resort music were more appealing. I personally brought a speaker, and many people we met at the pool complimented our playlist while also commenting on the resort's subpar music playlists. As for the golf experience, it was excellent overall. I can't recall the name of the gentleman in the clubhouse—an older staff member—but he provided exceptional customer service and was very accommodating when we needed to adjust our tee times several times. The tee boxes and fairways were in great condition. The greens, however, were only average this year, which was surprising for early June. I've never seen them in that condition during late spring or early summer. I also purchased the Summer Access Golf Pass, and it was an incredible value. It paid for itself after just two rounds. At $40 per round in the Palm Springs area, it's hard to find a better deal. The driving range is outstanding as well, with unlimited balls and the opportunity to hit off natural grass—always a major plus. Overall, it was another fantastic year at Shadow Ridge. Great accommodations, exceptional service, beautiful golf, and memorable experiences continue to keep us coming back year after year. We can't wait for our next visit. Blessing, Neil and April.

Acceptable Stay at Reasonable Price

FlyGuy47 (Albuquerque, New Mexico) on Jul 14, 2026

An “interesting” operation, to say the least. We booked this as a Marriott “package” deal. Before check-in, we received an email telling us to check in at the “vacation club preferred” desk in a building next to the main desk. Turns out this was just a way of giving us a sales pitch on the Marriott Vacation Club... after waiting 20 minutes for somebody to become available, the check-in process took another 45 minutes as they tried to convince us to sign up for an additional 90-minute Vacation Club presentation (we said “no”) – in all, it took over an hour at dinnertime! The resort itself is pretty nice. Though there was quite a lot of construction going on in another building, that was far enough away that it didn’t affect us. The two pools that were open have bar/cafes and serve food/drinks (good drinks, decent burger & salad). There’s also Giuseppe’s Restaurant/Pizzeria on the property, though it’s “independent” – i.e., you can’t charge to your room. We tried it and thought their deep-dish pizza was pretty good. We were also serenaded on the piano by Andy Cahan, the most famous musician you’ve never heard of (Google that phrase for more on him!) Although they did shut down the water for several hours one afternoon (no refund for that!), our stay was otherwise uneventful. The shampoo bottle was empty & the room itself wasn’t huge, but it did have a full-size fridge and a small balcony overlooking a golf-course lake.

Good size villa, good location. They charge for parking… :(

These buildings are a bit older than The Enclaves. But closer to the main pools and tennis courts. We stayed in a 1 bedroom Villa, 1 King, sofa bed, balcony. Enjoyable stay.

Relaxing Resort Stay Right on the Golf Course

KathrynM2118 (Los Angeles, California) on May 06, 2026

Overall great experience! Maria at the front desk got me in to a fabulous villa at 10 AM (far earlier than I expected) right on the golf course. The room is massive with modern amenities and tons of space, more than one person could easily stay there. Recommend bringing food/drinks to stock the kitchen. The property is massive and there's a lot of programming if you want to do activities, everything from golf to pottery. Such a steal for the price too!

Amenities at resort check-in

I am shaking my head returning from a visit to the Marketplace store at Shadow Ridge - Villages. Presumably it is high season - April with Coachella event. Not that this is acceptable any time, but the store is literally a mess. The two female employees are talking behind the register and not noticing paying customers at the other register in back (Starbucks). An elderly gentleman was waiting awhile so I went to alert them. Meanwhile, I am stepping over empty boxes and the store in disarray. Cleaning supplies left in the middle of the jewelry, I could go on. You get the point. I expect more from Marriott.
