Travelled wth family on WestJet Vacations package for one week over New Years. We occupied 2 partial Oceanview rooms and one 2-bedroom suite. When we arrived, there was no pillow or soap in one room and only 1 hand towel and bath towel for a double room in a second. Housekeeping did respond quickly to fix that. PROS: 3 well maintained pools: 1 large main pool, 1 kids's pool and 1 pool across a bridge to an adjoining section. Lots of loungers. Wrist bands required to get pool towels (suite guests excluded). Truly beachfront with long stretch of clean sand. Vendors, massage and horseback riding available on beach. Property is kept clean by attentive staff but the property shows its age almost everywhere. Main restaurant is large with sufficient seating, has efficient, hard-working staff and a variety of dishes on the buffet. The majority of food choices on the buffet cater to local tastes There are several "specialty" restaurants, but they are small and cannot accommodate very many people. You must sign up in the lobby at 9am to secure a spot for the next day. If you miss the sign-up, your only choice is the buffet or off-site. We ate in the steak & seafood, the Italian and the Asian restaurants. We found the Italian suited us best. CONS: The front desk check-in and check-out needs revamping. It is painfully slow and inefficient. We had a late check-in with one on-duty person and it took over 30 minutes. There was no assistance to carry bags upstairs to the suite as the elevator was out of service. The taxi situation is also hit and miss - better to use Uber. Daytime check-ins and check-outs had lines snaking through the lobby and taking up to 2 hours to complete. There was no main elevator for 2.5 days. We lost power around 5am on New Year's Eve and it did not come back until around 10:30am. there was no water in the rooms for several hours. Apparently this was a "city" problem which was fixed fairly quickly but reoccured over the next 2 days. Staff did their best but with no hydro or water, breakfast was delayed and there were several very unhappy people! Finally, visitors would have benefitted from information at the beginning of their stay. No internet codes, restaurant sign-up info, 3rd pool info, etc was provided and there was none in the room. FINAL THOUGHTS: This property offers good value for budget travellers, but will leave others somewhat disappointed. It is a solid 3*, It is a popular choice for young families and local Mexican visitors. It may not be the best choice for anyone with mobility issues as there are many stairs - some ramps are available and there is an elevator when it is working.

This place looks good. Nice pools, easy access to beach, clean beds but horrible customer service at front desk or any guest services. Impossible to get diner reservations , so we had to eat at the buffet all five days. We spent hours with no water supply and electricity . Good amount of time spent in line ups for food and drinks . Guest services had no solutions to any problem. Long walks to rooms because they do not have elevators in each building. We heard so many people complaining !

Edgar and Joel were amazing and provided great service. Made us laugh and made our meal times a joy. W have a conversation with them if you get the opportunity!!

They won’t let you visit your friends without paying a fee to go in even if you don’t want to use the amenities. Tried to help carry our friend’s groceries to there room then leave but that is not allowed as well. I would say this place does not want people to enjoy there holidays Oh welll there are much better places in puerto Vallarta to visit!!

Had a great time. The serving staff were friendly, kind and very helpful. The Italian restaurant was very good with lots of food! Carlos Arreola pool waiter made our trip! He was very informative, friendly great sense of humor had us laughing and made our day! Thanks Tiki Tiki
