Beautiful resort wonderful service . Luis Mateo was my concierge provided excellent service . We will be back in November . I would recommend this for business or family travel . Spa is great you can also go to beach and get a massage there . It's nice not to hug but yet big enough. Food is top of the line ??

This was my fourth trip to Grand Velas, but the first trip with the entire family. We were a family of 22 with small children. Saying GV exceeded expectations is an understatement. The property is beautiful and immaculate. The new rooms are beautiful. The food and drink plentiful and delicious with lots of options. The special events were fantastic - BBQ evening on the beach and Thanksgiving on the Lawn with a band. But the single best thing about the Velas is the service. It’s in a class of its own. I’ve stayed at many Four Seasons around the world and the service is in the same class - top notch. No detail left unturned. Every problem solved. Every wish granted. From sterilizing baby bottles daily to organizing a sunset dinner on the beach for a special birthday. Of special note was our family concierge who attended to 22 of us - Luis Mateo. The man in tireless and seems to be at different places at the same time. Always a smile on his face. A service professional of the highest caliber. When he sleeps and eats remains a mystery. Out pool concierge Luis knew the name of every person in our family. Always a smile. Always helpful. A delightful person and a true professional. His counterpart Raimondo also did a wonderful job poolside. Our poolside servers for the week didn’t stop once - Gustavo and Geraldo. I’m pretty sure we ran Gustavo ragged with a constant barrage of drink and food requests. Always a smile on his face. Always remembering your drink favorites. Another true professional. Jose the pool manager always checking our “happiness level”daily. You don’t walk past a housekeeper or maintence worker without them saying hello or good morning. This is a fine tuned machine. Can not wait to go a 5th time.

I have never once written a review on anything and here I am writing my first. We came here with a total of 22 people- all family to celebrate my dads 70th. everything was perfect the entire time. The grounds were spectacular, the rooms gorgeous, comfortable and everything you could need from razors, toothbrushes and stocked bar daily. The turn down service was great. But what made it extra special was the staff. We left with new friends and desire to come back year after year. We all had our own personal concierge, Luis, who went above and beyond. Anything you needed, from bottles being washed while you were lounging in the pool to batteries or pool floats for the kids. The pool staff, Jorge, Gustavo and Alberto were just as lovely. They made sure we had everything we needed and anticipated any next move we were to make- it was true first class service! They made us feel like they have known us a lifetime. It was a perfect place for couple (adult only pool), young family’s and old and everywhere in between. Cant wait to come back to our Velas Mexico family soon!

The accommodations and common areas are great, but what makes GV superior is the people. They make you feel like you are home, yet serving your every want. Our favorites are Fidel, Riccardo, Carlos, Pablo (Azul); Jose, Jorge, Dr.Jorge Sanchez, Gabriel (Pool) and Mario (Hotel) and Carlos (activities). These gentlemen make the difference! They represent GV exceptionally well. I would hire them for my company anytime. They are why my family of 13 have come every year for 15 years.
