Exceptional all inclusive resort! The property is immaculate and the staff is incredibly attentive and friendly. The food and drinks are wonderful and there is a great selection. I have been coming here for 15+ years and it is always incredible!

This is my second time at the resort, the first being part of a large family group many years ago. I decided to come again as a solo female traveller because I remembered the beautiful grounds and the relaxing atmosphere and the great pools! It did NOT disappoint this time around either!! All of the staff are fantastic and many have been here for years so it’s very much a family feel…some I even recognized from when I was here 13 years ago! Everything is spotless. The grounds are immaculate and teeming with wildlife to enjoy from peacocks to iguanas to a stunning Koi pond running through it all. The room was a studio with a garden view balcony and it was clean and the bed was comfy!! The service and the food at both restaurants was phenomenal and I left my week feeling pampered and relaxed and like I’d spent a little time in paradise ;). I am not disappointed in my return trip and will most definitely be back again. If you’re looking for a party this is not the place for you but if you want tropical vibes, beautiful people and a relaxing vacation, this is the spot for you :)

We stayed at the Velas Vallarta for a week in March as part of a Westjet Vacations package We stayed in the studio, which was spacious and clean. All the studios have no balconies, overlook the garden at the back of the hotel, and the window overlooks an open walkway. We didn't mind this, as our room category was cheaper and we were hardly in our room! We've been to numerous all inclusives in Mexico and this was one of the smaller ones we've stayed at. There are 2 restaurants with buffet and/or sit down Service. The more casual one overlooks the beach and oceanfront which is especially nice in the evenings and for lunch. Service at this resort was outstanding. Poolside service was quick and servers were attentive. Everyone made us feel welcome with a greeting and a smile. A couple of standouts: our bellboy, Daniel, was most helpful and quickly found us a better room when he checked our a/c unit and it wasn't working. Also, when our airport shuttle didn't show up after checking out, the staff made sure we got to the airport on time.

Beautiful place, but a room smelled like mildew the entire time. When we got back home, we realize that everything we had smelled like mildew so we had to wash everything, including our suitcase. We spent a lot of money to come back, smelling like mold. Otherwise, it was great.

Everything about this place is great. Clean, comfy furniture, many diversions, GREAT food! But the thing that makes it a wonderful place to visit is the staff....they treat you like friends, literally everybody says hello and they are so incredibly accomadating. There are so many I want to give a shout out to, including Christian, who checked in us specifically today to make sure our whole stay was awesome. Plus he's hilarious??
