We had a wonderful time last week. Location: short 30 min ride from the airport. Average for a Pvt transfer over shuttle which can take upwards of 1 hr. Atmosphere: overall a nice place definitely not 5 star I would give it a 3.5 to 4 star. Rooms: we got an upgraded room in the privilege bldg 6 which was nice and close to the beach and pools but very far from buffet and the restaurants. Cleanliness: overall a well kept property. Value: we got what we paid for. I have been to others that charge more but all give more. Noiselevel: there was construction going on around the bldg but was minimal. Service: it was very clear to us that many of the staff didn't want to be there. They looked tired and service was a 4/10 at best. We waited almost 40 minutes at the Mexican restaurant for our entrees. Getting coffee refills was a mission at breakfast buffet and clean tables were difficult to find as they would not clean them very fast. Food: we met with chef Javier early in our booking and he help directly with halal options. He was extremely proactive and supportive for our needs and ready to help. Overall the food that the chef prepared for us was a 10/10.

Rooms were great. Beach was great esp during sunrise, and they were good at clearing out beached-weeds. Buffet and restaurants had amazing food and variety with flavours quite nicely done. We were catered well with special requests for our table (food allergies, halal options, etc) very well by Chef Javier who is the Head Chef at the resort. Good service is what visitors are seeking and we got it! Wifi reception was perfect throughout the resort and beach (which is rare). Only downside was the towel service where they didn't have enough clean towels on 3 out of 7 days and that's something they ought to work on esp on busy days/time of the year. Also there should be a snack bar and bar open past 11 pm at least until 2 am. Mike's coffee shop near the reception area of the resort was amazing (and everything on the menu was made to perfection!) and rare to see at an all-inclusive resort. The coffee served anywhere else on the resort was sub par and so there ought to be one more Mike's coffee shop near the beach side of the resort. The beach bar drinks and snack bar buffet had amazing food with good service. We also conveniently booked a snorkeling excursion as well at the resort reception area (with Alexander). Our host Manuel helped with every request througout our stay. Entertainment could use some work but overall rooms were good, and food was made well! Good value for service, location, amenities!
