we stayed at this resort for 2.5 weeks over Christmas period. unfortunately the weather was poor for 9 days straight during our stay, but we made the most of what we could. due to the heavy rain especially in the early evening most families was at the main lobby bar, which resulted in lack of seating, as outdoor areas not useable. the majority of staff where friendly and did a good job. food was overall good, with nice variety at breakfast and dinner. on the odd occasion I went for lunch at the pool restaurant which wasn't great, and a odd lack of cutlery daily, to the point most people was keeping a set from breakfast to use in there! the Christmas gala food was fantastic and the staff went above and beyond. branded alcohol, fab that's one of the reasons we booked, although they did run out at some bars after Christmas day only issuing local brands. rooms are lovely, large and well equipped. bed comfortable. would like to say a big thank you to Johanna from breakfast who always went above and beyond for customer service, what a lovely lady. also the fab bar staff leandro, Jose Miguel and polco. the resort was kept beautifully clean.

Good points - a nice resort with a lovely beach. Rooms comfortable (4*, not 5*) and clean. All in, I had a reasonably nice week. The Japanese restaurant was nice too. However, overall, the service was generally atrocious across the board. We arrived and a chap took or luggage and asked us if we stayed in the ‘Ultimate Leisure Club’, then dropped it to the ground when we said no, pointing us towards reception. That wasn’t just poor - it was disrespectful. The steak restaurant was possibly the worst meal out I’ve ever had and across the resort, the staff were surly and badly trained. On our first three days, we were hounded on the phone by a lady with a very poor command of English - we didnt understand what she was asking for, she didn’t understand our responses. We unplugged day three. Despite some lovely features and a lot of potential, not great.
