Overpriced bad location

I rarely leave negative reviews, but the Courtyard Marriott Aruba was an absolute joke—especially given the premium prices charged over Christmas–New Year’s. The beach accommodations are terrible. There is no real beachfront experience, seating is limited and poorly managed, and nothing about it comes close to justifying peak holiday pricing. Overall, the hotel feels subpar on every level compared to what you’d expect from a Marriott property in Aruba. To make matters worse, the hotel is next to a bar that blasts music until around 5 a.m., making it extremely difficult to sleep. Between the noise and the lack of amenities, the experience was frustrating and disappointing given the cost.
Great experience

Made this reservation last minute to spend time with friends who were at the Marriott - had to use points given the high prices over xmas holiday so ended up at this hotel. A block back from the beach - I wasn't expecting much, but the stay was outstanding. FOOD * Extensive and high-quality breakfast buffet included with all the breakfast items you could want, but meats and cheeses, made to order omelets, heathy mixed juices, etc. * Allegre pool bar/restaurant. Menu choices were plentiful and food was delicious. I could eat every meal there. Cheeseburgers, appetizers, salads, pizza - all delicious. Good happy hour with discounted drinks. ROOM: * Recently renovated. Modern shower with excellent water pressure. Large rooms - 5 feet between 2 queen beds. Safe, Microwave, fridge, closet. i would not want room facing pool for potential noise - I didn't mind looking over small quiet parking lot with a balcony. Room was spotless. Bed was extremely comfortable with quality linens. Lot of towels. STAFF: Mostly a standout. Miguel at the bar seems like a happy go lucky dancing bartender, but handled difficult customers like a pro. Nelson, Oscar and many more - all great. Someone is always cleaning, painting, etc. Grounds very clean. An abundance of staff and security. Shuttle to the beach with chairs and umbrellas - but don't love palm beach anyway - too small and crowded - we went to eagle beach but nice they have this service. Easy walk to everything. Pool bar was fun. Big pools with hot tub - no issues getting chairs. Really enjoyed this 2-story property as opposed to the 1000+ room concrete jungles along the strip.

We are travelling to Aruba with our adult children and their partners to celebrate the holidays and a special milestone birthday. We ran into some problems with booking online and needed assiatance to make some changes. We are spending 1 week and the Marriott Ocean Club and then moving to the Marriott Aruba Courtyard for 3 days before traveling home. Ms. Emily Emerenciana (assistant manager) and Mr Bryan Ras (manager guest relations) went above and beyond to help us. Our daughters stayed at the Aruba Marriott Courtyard previously and really enjoyed their time there. The resort, rooms and amenities were wonderful and location by the main strip perfect. Thank you Emily and Bryan and Marriott!

Great breakfast, nice room. Good amenities and super close to the beach. The people at Riu near the beach are super rude, so avoid that place and you need to rent chairs elsewhere.
