Christmas time in Mexico

Pros: - Friendly and helpful staff - The food is quite good (7/10) - Large rooms - They have a hotel app where you can manage many things - Two separate (unofficial) zones – one with mostly children and the other with adults - Very nice restaurants with beautifully presented dishes - They make an effort to maintain the beach (cleaning seaweed, picking up trash, etc.) - Plenty of daytime activities and a decent gym Cons: - No towels - A fight for sunbeds (not enough available) - Old, unattractive sunbeds/towels - Narrow hallways - The hotel is quite worn out - All extras are ridiculously expensive (cheapest wine costs $800, doctor consultation $200) - You have to use the same set of cutlery for the entire meal (they only remove the plate, leaving the cutlery) - Too many rooms compared to the number of bars/restaurants, etc. - Dirty hallways (carpets) – never saw anyone cleaning them - Very poor-quality bread (probably due to the majority of guests being from the USA) - They don’t seem to understand what proper bedding is – the duvet is wrapped in something like a sheet, which quickly slides off, exposing the duvet, which is quite disgusting - Waiting in line and being escorted to a table at the buffet - You can’t take an Uber anywhere because the hotel doesn’t allow them in, and the main road is 4 km away - No umbrellas (only half as many as sunbeds)
Beautiful property with exceptional amenities

From the moment we arrived to when we left, the staff couldn’t have been any friendlier and helpful. We were hesitant about going to an all-inclusive, especially in Cancun, because of the reputation of some of the hotel zone hotels, and we were floored by the amenities, the cleanliness of the hotel, and the food choices. There were no high pressured sales tactics that you find elsewhere. It was a beautiful property, and we will definitely go back.
