This was my 4th stay. Rooms are small but clean. Location is easy to access for Waikiki & generally quiet. Bathrooms could use updates-shower tile grout looks grimy in most rooms. Pool is clean but always very cold, even in August. Rates are pretty good for Waikiki. I will stay here again

This hotel is older yet makes up for it in little perks. 1. Has very comfortable beds. 2 offers a refillable water station free of charge. 4. Offers free laundry facilities. 5. Offers Daily newspaper. The on-site massage is convenient but better prices can be found nearby.

Rooms definitely need updating. Chipping paint and noisy with windows that do not close completely. Low water pressure. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Lobby is nicest part. However, affordable for Honolulu , friendly staff and centrally located.

I had the absolute worst experience, when I get to my room I notice there is paint chipping away at the walls. The smoke detector was literally hanging out of the walls, dust was on the outlet, the shower handle was corroding, stains on the couch and curtains, oh and I found three roaches! One above the microwave and two in the restroom. When I went down to the lobby to ask for a different room the front desk lady was absolutely rude. She rolled her eyes when I explained what I was dealing with then proceeded to downgrade me to a half decent room. It was the first time I’ve been to Hawaii and I’m very saddened this is what I experienced.

Maria at check-in was very friendly and made the check-in process very easy and was able to get my room ready for an early arrival. Overall, I had a great experience, with the deluxe suite I stayed in. The room was clean and very affordable. I would definitely come back to the Aqua Aloha on a future visit.
