Overall great!

Stay552403 on Nov 01, 2025

We live on big island, have stayed at several properties in Oahu over the years. We flew over for dermatology trip. First time staying here and would recommend. Rooms were nice, AC very nice (no mildew smell, which I love, but understanding if there was. Not built yesterday). Mattress with nice comfy topper, otherwise, firm, (sleeping totally important). Shower is fine, fiberglass, clean, but not pristine (would not choose white for flooring being this close to the beach (beach life problem:)). The heated toilet seat and bidet were the bees knees for spouse. (Does it automatically turn on at 7 am? so many questions). Our room was on the 12th floor. Pretty quiet, could hear occasional sirens, but police station around the corner, (day before Halloween) so would expected to hear more often. Da Pool, very cool setting, great pics. On the chilly side though. The lounge chairs IN the pool can be purchased at a little cost, but not terribly spendy. In October (our trip), there was sun at the pool until early to mid afternoon, then wind picked up and mostly shade unless back behind the very large hot tub. Hot tub very nice and hot. Hotel is located a walking block from ocean. We could see snorkelers in the protected part (surrounded by sea wall) of the ocean early. Lots of surfboard shops around for rental. Sixt rental in the lobby ish area of the hotel. Lots of food options around. Our fav Italian around the corner, reservations needed, but doesn't break the bank. Arrencino dish is awesome. There is breakfast and lunch as well at the pool bar. (I just had fries) then needed to catch a flight. There is island music playing for the house music, got a bit louder around 3(?). I enjoyed, but maybe not all folks did. Emily the pool server is awesome. Staff friendly and receptive. Overall, great experience! Beautiful downtown Waikiki experience. And the sunsets.. :)

Perfect Stay

Elizabeth R (Kailua-Kona, Hawaii) on Oct 28, 2025

We were fortunate enough to find the perfect ADA room since my husband just had heart surgery. We live on another island and needed to find a room to rest for 4 days in between appointments. The room was roomy, airy and light with very comfortable beds and pillows. The best part was a balcony with the beautiful ocean view. The only drawback for us was no microwave. The staff was great from beginning to end. I highly recommend this hotel!!

Pros and Cons

Maria B on Oct 26, 2025

My husband took out first trip since Covid and thought we’d splurge on this 5 star hotel and pay the extra $1000 for longboard club PROS Hotel was clean Location you can’t beat, literally amazing location CONS -Longboard club was a complete waste of money. -What the promised was 8-10 local wines and beers to do tasting w/ all you could drink…. What you received was 3 well wines and 1 beer option -Evening food- stale eggrolls, unappetizing noodles, 2 cheeses, crackers, olives that looks like they were bought and opened a few years ago. A couple backed goods that looked like they came from Costco. We only used it 2x since each time we went there were less options than the night before. -As far as breakfast, so so soooo bad. No omelet station, but runny scrambled, mystery sausage, no bacon. 3 times of fruit ( not tropical or local. Cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon), açaí station had 2 fruits. One time they said we couldn’t have any because the cream scooper was broken. - there was a used mattress and crib outside our door for 2 days . Not appealing for a 5 star hotel. They asked how we are liking our stay and I told him a shorter version of above. They removed the mattress and that was it. $1000 extra for longboard club was a complete waste. My husband called it ahead of time, but I was enamored by what they offered. He was right. Never again. I would stay here again, but NO longboard club. It was -“1/3 of our expenses of our housing. - pool was a joke

Mediocre hotel with a 5 star hotel vibe

Taylor P on Oct 26, 2025

They have overly invasive room monitoring systems, and quite frankly, aside from the massive lobby fish tank, it’s a rather mediocre hotel for the price. Located on the worst part of Waikiki beach. Avoid if possible.
