Amazing hotel, amazing staff

We love this hotel. The staff from the front desk to sales and catering are all amazing with great hospitality! The hotel location is perfect- close to the beach, shops and restaurants that are all within walking distance. I highly recommend!

Never again

The room had loud noise coming from an air conditioner unit. The windows rattled during high winds. There was no coffee machine in the lobby. There was no microwave in the room or lobby. I asked about a microwave oven was told that would be a charge. This was worst experience I've had at a hotel! No power for sometime, no emergency lights, they put battery operated lanterns on the stairs. The Hyatt Regency had power when we didn't. They had a proper generator backup system.

Great resort - Alohilani at Waikiki Beach.

We highly recommend the Alohilani Resort - our Ocean View room in the Beachside Tower on the 8th floor was all we could have hoped for. Great view of Waikiki Beach and all the hustle and bustle of Kalakaua Avenue. Pool area and Swell Bar were very nice. The foyer and two storey aquarium were very impressive. The staff were very efficient and helpful.

Billing issues and the worst customer service I've ever experienced

After checkin, I didn't receive an email with a receipt or confirmation. During the stay, there were several periods of no power/wifi, weather related. Housekeeping came very late in the day. After checkout, I was told everything was all good and that I would be emailed a receipt with line items. I never got the receipt. After several days, not only was my deposit not refunded, but I was charged an extra $600 with no explanation. I have since called the hotel 3 times, and 2 different people said "they would call me back" to resolve. They have not called back. I gave the benefit of the doubt due to the weather circumstances, but now I am out over $1,000 for no apparent reason, and nobody seems capable of explaining, sending a receipt, or helping. This is predatory and I will not be returning to this hotel.
