Went for a family vacation. The beach was nice and some staff were great. There we some staff that need to be retrained.

disapointed in the buffet options, not kid friendly, and very repetative, my kids were hungry at times, My relative got sick from the pizza at the snack bar too

Very enjoyable stay once again. The hotel was busy the week before Easter, and the staff worked extra hard to provide a fun vacation for the guests. The weather was perfect, every day was sunny and 30c. The beach was great for a 40minute walk to the end and back - in either direction. The hotel was always kept spotless. The food was very good, and the service was amazing. We were fortunate to get to know several staff members - Adrian's 28th anniversary working at Park Royal, Andreas in the Barracuda bar with Jorge and Afrain, Santos and Jhonny, Guillermina, Karina, Brayan, Gilberto, Manuel, Diana. Gilberto in the Travel tours office. So many others - Anel and Bere, Luis. We appreciate everyone's hard work. It is fun to meet fellow travellers, from PEI, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and several states. We have been to Park Royal before, and look forward to our next trip to Ixtapa.

Wonderfully run hotel. Exceptional staff all round and especially in the eating areas. Great location on the beach. Plenty of shaded palapa seating. Kids mini aqua park was loved by younger children. Lots of nice activities for children. Food pretty good - always something you could find. Fresh buffet items were very good, both selection and preparation. Opposite could be said of cooked selection. Lots of mushy and overcooked stuff. So hot buffet did not seem carefully prepared or appetizing which would be my main complaint. Also the specialty restaurant, Andiamo, had ridiculously poor food, quite poor service and a very nice ambiance!
