Beautiful property with access to beach and sand. Friendly staff.

Amazing staff! From the initial greeting, checking in, restaurant dining, checking out...all the Fairmont employees were so friendly and helpful. I loved the insulated water bottles and the new design. A perfect take home gift. I'm a Hawaii local and this hotel is a great staycation getaway. I'll definitely return.

Subtle luxury

George S (Honolulu, Hawaii) on Sep 06, 2024

We stayed at the Fairmont for a couple's getaway. The property is a classic resort, a good 40 minutes from Kailua-Kona and the airport, but near resort-oriented shopping centers (Kings and Queens Markets). The Fairmont is quiet with truly exceptional service, views, and facilities. Right on the beach, close to some trails and state parks. The restaurants were quite good, but unsurprisingly pricey (breakfast for two was $122), so its worth any inclusive deals through Amex or AAA. Of the 5 star hotels on Hawaii Island we think this is by far the best for the money ($650/ night, ish). The Mauna Lani, Rosewood, and Four Seasons are wonderful but can run $1,000 a night. The Fairmont is nearly as exceptional, and most wont notice the difference for less money (if money matters). We look forward to going back.
